I hate to criticize like this but the Adel Super 8 isn't super at all. The grounds are pretty sad and tired, there's almost no place decent to walk a dog either. The buildings are an odd assemblage of structures on an oddly shaped property. But that's the minor stuff. On arrival I was given a room that was already occupied. I found out as I tried to get the key to work and someone answered the door. Yay, right? After several hassles I was given a tired room in mediocre condition. The hair dryer didn't work and when I asked for a replacement I got... none. I will say that in spite of the proximity to I75 it was surprisingly quiet, in relative terms of course. Most distressing of all was the fact that the housekeeper put away some of my personal effects. I had to hunt to find them. Dog food was placed in a cooler; a phone charger was placed in my backpack. Under no circumstances should housekeepers ever do something like that, ever. I've never had that happen in decades of hotel and motel stays. No matter how well intended, it's just the wrong thing to do.
