Very good location which is just about 10min walk to Ikebukuro station, your gateway to Mt Fuji, Yokohama and Kamakura etc. Within the hotel, it has Family mart and direct link to Sunshine city. Airport limousine bus stops right here too! Highly recommended for everyone!

The noise is bad! The hotel room cleaning service lost our stuff while they were cleaning. And they did not apologize at all. After they found it, we gave them our address 3 times! And they still ship to a wrong address. Very horrible experience!

Lobby doesn't have enough chairs to sit around. We asked 11:30am late check out but need to pay the extra fee for extra 30 minutes delay. While other hotels we stayed offered 2pm free of charge. AC in room isn't cold enough and not enough hot water to shower. Far away from train station. Overall we will not stay here again.

The AC at this property is very outdated. But, overall it's one of my favorite hotels to stay at in Tokyo.

Their breakfast is awesome and their location is convenient and close to shopping areas. Our AC was not working so I requested for a fan which they gladly provided. The elevator can get really crowded and you have to wait most of the times. Best thing is the conbini downstairs which is our go to place for onigiri, drinks and snacks. Overall, it’s a pretty good property for Japan travel.

Sunshine City Prince Hotel was a convenient place to stay as there is a shopping mall right next door. There is a lot of food option as well. Rooms for 2 adults and 2 children was quite spacious. Limousine bus also stops at this hotel so getting to the airport is easy. The AC however could have been colder as we had it on the max but our room didn’t get cold enough.

Everything was great! The only thing that wasn’t was the bed. It was too firm for my back and I didn’t sleep well but the hotel itself and staff were lovely. Very convenient location.

The location is awesome. The airport limousine bus stops right in front of the hotel. The hotel is connected to the Sunshine City mall where there are lots of shopping and eateries. There’s also a family mart at the lobby which is super convenient. However, the walls are very thin and I could hear people talking in the next room. Also, the power point plugs are in the wrong location for phone charging. They are not near the beds but under a table. The JR Yamamoto line is also not very near, about 15 minutes walk.

I did not expect this hotel front desk to not offer luggage forwarding service. I was told by the staff to go to the attached Family Mart or the nearby Yamato Transport (already closed at 1pm!) to mail my luggage... True that the Family Mart is just right by the corner, but it's quite a busy location and it's a pain to line up with large luggage in a convenience store... especially when there were no other customers at the hotel front desk! The building itself is slightly dated. Because it's a large hotel with 30 floors, despite there are 6 elevators (not sure if they are all on), the wait to get downstairs can be long if there are a lot of people checking out at the same time. I had to wait 15 min to get to the lobby on a Sunday at 9am, because the elevators are already full when it reaches my floor! The bed is comfortable, but the room quite small and tight for 2 people, and this isn't a business hotel... The shower, toilet and sink are not separate. There is no vent with the washroom so smell lingers. There are 7 laundry machines so it's very convenient to do laundry at this hotel. It's attached to the Sunshine City mall and also easily walkable to other shopping area in Ikebukuro. It's ~10 min walk to both Higashi Ikebukuro Station and Ikebukuro Station. It has an airport limousine bus stop outside the lobby for both Haneda and Narita. For the price point, this stay was overall disappointing. Ikebukuro has many options that are more convenient.

Location is excellent. Direct airport bus to/from Haneda or Narita Airport, and minutes walk from the main shopping/dining area in Ikebukuro. It is about a 10 minute walk from the JR station. Staff was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. 24hr convenience store and luggage forwarding service in the lobby so also super convenient. There is no microwave, but if you buy something from the convenience store, you can ask them to heat it up for you. Biggest downside are the dated rooms, especially the bathroom. The ventilitation system isn't strong enough so the bathroom becomes extremely hot and humid after a shower which makes it uncomfortable for the next person. There is also a step leading up to the bathroom, so you have to be careful about not tripping especially if you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. We stayed in a standard twin room and there was only one space near the entrance where I can open a large suitcase fully, but the size was typical for Tokyo.

Super convenient, Family Mart in Hotel, Sunshine City Mall connected to hotel, walk to train station is about 15 minutes but the walk from the hotel to the train is an easy one. Lots of shops and restaurants along the way. If you go to Japan just for shopping and restaurants, you really never have to leave the area. The only negative is what everyone else mentioned…the air conditioning does not work. There is a low/high knob but nothing happens when you change the setting. There was no airflow.

Great hotel in Tokyo for traveling with family. Connected to sunshine mall with food, shopping and attractions. Rooms were large and spacious. Direct pickup from Airport shuttle to airport. Only wished we could control the A/C temperature.

When I had a bad experience with residents who were rude and rowdy (as well as clearly intoxicated) in the laundry room, I did not get support or help from the front desk. I had gone down to the lobby, to report the behaviour and express my concern, but the person working at the desk didn’t show me any care. I was quite upset, which I felt was evident in my voice, but he did not seem to put any effort. He also was rude and harsh in his word choice when I spoke. He didn’t seem to take any action, and I walked away with no feeling of safety or security from the hotel’s end. The residents creating a ruckus were a group of me, and I was a woman alone in the laundry room at night. It was an upsetting experience overall, and I didn’t appreciate the front desk employee’s handling of it.

the hotel is at great location connecting to sunshine city, but walking to JR is far. The hotel was too busy, check in time was long, totally no lobby service and room is not clean, i will say acceptable only, but having airport bus station right outside the hotel is a big advantage.

The room is extremely small with very narrow like a business capsule hotel. The room was very hot without much air circulation (and temperature adjustment didn’t seem to work). It’s okay to stay with minimum time in the room or sleep only.

Terribly hard bed & high step into bathroom.
Hotel is great with many food options and lots of shopping. Did not like the high step up to bathroom due to my weak legs. Bed was extremely hard. Could barely walk when getting out of bed to go to bathroom on first night. First night was tired so slept but 2nd night couldn’t sleep. Realized bed was so hard, it was affecting my hip. Made my hip so sore had to walk holding the wall. Sat up in bed w/pillows against the backboard to sleep. Fortunately, the pills I take in the morning relieved most of the pain. If not, wasn’t sure how I was going to get around.

I am fortunate to have chosen this hotel
The view was spectacular! The room I stayed faces Northeast, so I could have a whole view of Mt. Tsukuba, as well as Mts Asama, Kubiki, etc (I think), the mountains we cannot normally see unless you come to sky-high building. I came to Tokyo because my sister is dying. Spending nights in this safe and quiet room, watching the city-lights was comforting. Their breakfast was wonderful, and the staff members were pleasant and efficient. Also, the location was great, easy and convenient to go anywhere in Tokyo. Thank you.
