Perfect for a long weekend on the mountain!
Really nice hosts! This is a bit of a hidden gem, the name may suggest more of a summer vibe but this is a great spot for a winter weekend mission to the mountain. They don’t have many rooms which is kinda nice as is keeps things pretty quiet. Heaps of parking space close to the rooms and the spa was great after a day on the mountain. Simple, very clean and well priced with great host! Not much more you could ask for.

Great hosts. Easy to communicate with. The room was very tidy and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here and would be happy to stay again.

Had a great weekend on the slopes. We thought it was going to be weird with 3 adults in one room (mostly family but not all), but it was like camping at school, so a novelty with lots of laughs. Location is good - walking distance to rental stores and town. Also round the corner from main road to the mountains. Phil was very accommodating and friendly. We just needed a place to sleep and though there was some minimal noise with next room occupants everyone was good about being quiet once it got to midnight. We ate out mostly as there are some good restaurants in town. I recommend booking if you have a family in case it is a busy weekend. Wait times arent too long though. Bring a hair dryer if you need as I dont recall seeing one there. Rooms clean and heating was on for our late arrival which was much appreciated. I hope the spa can be fixed for the next stay, that would be perfect. Thanks!

The rooms were a good size for a bigger group. Had a bit of a hiccup with the booking but Phil had us sorted out easy! Comfortable and clean rooms with ample heating given the cold & rainy weather! One of the rooms had a leak though caused by the terrible rains. But overall it was a great place to stay in and would recommend to others!

Stayed for two nights as we were skiing at Tauroa and Whakapapa. Really convenient location and great advice on travel up the mountain and rentals.

This property was in a great location close to the centre of town. The facilities were exceptionally clean and tidy and service was great.

Above expectation
Very clean and comfortable accommodation. We stayed in a studio unit with a small kitchen facility that had all the basics. Great spa pool that we enjoyed after a big day on the mountain. Friendly and informative host. Thanks so much. We enjoyed our time in Ohakune.

Nice and tidy. Clean room with good bathroom and kitchenette. Room was cleaned daily with good supplies. Comfortable for 3 people. But the our younger child had to sleep in sofa bed which was very uncomfortable.

Room was really clean and new with basic kitchen facilities for boiling water, cooking etc.Staff was frienldy and helpful. Room was little, definitely not for 5 persons, maximal 3 people and had just 3 chairs and a very little table.

This place is very unassuming. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but inside is great. It's spacious and well equipped. Beds, including sofa bed, was comfy. Water pressure nice and strong. Cleanliness was 10/10. Only suggestions are that there should be blinds for the front door window to block the light that shines through at night, and there should be more hooks /hangars or racks for clothing.

Good Value Motel
My husband, son & I stayed here for one night. It was great value for money and close to town centre. We enjoyed the spa pool, studio rooms were comfortable and well presented. Staff were very friendly. I would stay here again.

Perfect base for a skiing holiday
This is our second stay here and again we thought it was great! Great hosts, central location, and spacious, clean, modern rooms. We also had a view of the mountain from ours which was a bonus.

Great Stay
Easy central, yet quiet location. Our room easily accommodated our family of 5 with comfort. Great having a well stocked kitchenette too . The hosts where very accommodating and we were very impressed to return from a days skiing to see our beds were made and and fresh towels provided. We will definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay there. Room is big, clean and the bed is very comfortable. Kitchen is big enough to prepare our dinner and breakfast.

Amazing place to stay on a quiet street except the very loud sounding alarm in the middle of the night. Town centre within walking distance great and helpful staff on site. Would definitely go back 😊

Great service and location
We arrived quite late and there were clear directions given for room which was lovely and warm for us. Phil was great the next morning too - lots of helpful information about what we needed, eg snow chains for car. We had a super stay and the room was warm and clean.

Overall pleasant experience. Arrived late from Auckland, management still there to help organise my room. Room is simple but that was expected. Very close to town which helps purchasing lift passes and rental gear.

All you need
It's not much to look at outside, but it's close to the centre of town, the rooms are tidy, clean and warm, the kids had bunks which was awesome, and the owner is a really friendly guy with a cool dog named Bruce. It's no frills, but we didn't care. Would happily stay there again!

Super clean and tidy rooms, with a great supply of kitchen equipment. Nice new bathrooms. We had a great stay and enjoyed the spa pool / hot tub. The staff/owners are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We highly recommend this place.

Nice place & very close to the Town Centre
Lovely staff and very helpful. Great Views of Mt Ruapehu. Came during school holidays in winter so it was very cold. The eco-panel warmed the room slightly and only the queen bed had a electric blanket. Very close to the centre of town and also to the shuttle bus that can take you up Turoa.
