Excellent
Pauline & Anthony were excellent hosts of a lovely hotel. They were very welcoming and could not do enough for us. The hotel is well situated, although the return journey from the sea front is steep in places. Our room was excellent and included a separate 'living room'. Breakfast was exceptional. A really fantastic weekend all round.

A great week in Torquay
Beautiful Victorian villa at the top of the hill overlooking the bay. Spotlessly clean and full of character. The hosts, Anthony and Pauline, were very welcoming and a fountain of knowledge on the local area. The walk down to the town and local restaurants was about 10-15 minutes. The walk back up the hill was a little bit longer but good exercise after a nice meal out.

Great B&B and lovely welcome
Stayed at Court Prior for 3 nights. As soon as we arrived we was made to feel welcome. We was given information on the local area, places to eat and the best ways to get around the area which turned out to be very useful, along with tea and biscuits which were just what we needed after a 5 hour drive. Our room was a double room (room 12). The standard, comfort and cleanliness of the room and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was a high standard and a great start to the day. We would defiantly recommend Court Prior and stay there again.

Very nice hotel, great choice!
What a lovely stay we had at the hotel! At a very convenient location 5 mins walk from the seaside. The owners where a very friendly and welcoming couple who run the hotel with great care and were more than happy to give us advice on places to visit and things to do in the area. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay there again next time we visit Torquay.

Anthony and Pauline are really great hosts
Court Prior was a lovely place to stay.Quite and homely. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The shower we had was brilliant.

wonderful boutique hotel
great welcome from two great hosts. food plentiful and nothing was too much trouble. lots of suggestions for local visits and things to do. would not hesitate to recommend and will certainly return for another stay.

Ein Hotel zum Wohlfühlen
Der Aufenthalt in Cout Prior war äusserst angenehm. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und sogar bemüht individuelle Wünsche fürs Frühstück zu erfüllen. Das Zimmer sind sehr wohnlich eingerichtet, die Größe für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt wunderbar geeignet. Auch das Bett war sehr bequem. Parkplätze sind direkt am Hotel. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber man braucht nur ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß bis man am Ufer oder in der Einkaufs/Restaurantmeile ist. Für einen entspannten Urlaub sehr zu empfehlen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen

Excellent place to stay
We had a great stay in this lovely place. Room was very nice, spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious and our hosts, Anthony and Pauline were very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely relaxing stay
Anthony & Pauline could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Straight away it was totally relaxing. Our room was immaculate and the breakfasts were beautifully cooked. Without doubt we would go back.

A great hotel
We were made very welcome from the start by both Anthony and Pauline. Anthony was very informative about the local area and gave many tips of where to go and what was worth a visit. Room was very comfy and clean. Breakfasts were very good ,had traditional full English , also omelette on one day ,which was lovely. Overall a great stay. Thankyou for your hospitality!

Highly recommended
We were just here for the weekend, but we were certainly pleased we stayed at Court Prior. The rooms are very clean & tidy, the bed especially comfy, and the owners can't do enough to make your time there as pleasant as possible.

This is a real nice place to stay. The owners are very pleasant and friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable with places to visit and eat. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Really relaxing and peaceful location.

Short mid-week break. Stayed in Torquay before so aware of steep roads/paths if walking about. First time at Court Prior and very pleasant stay. Very good insight on local amenities from helpful owners. Off-road parking major bonus. Would consider this hotel first if visiting Torquay again.

Very professional, warm, welcoming and helpful hosts. Court Prior displays character, quality and attention to detail. The food is plentiful and excellent. Good facilities, a great and secluded central location with gardens, off-street parking, free W-Fi... Highly recommended.

Wonderful B&B in Torquay
Highly recommend Court Prior & I look forward to going back, hopefully soon. Anthony & Pauline are brilliant hosts, very welcoming (with a pot of tea & biscuits when you arrive)& friendly, offering lots of tips on where to go & how best to get about Torquay, providing a user friendly local map. Lovely décor, very clean, comfortable & in a very quiet part of Torquay but still walkable to the Marina & main town. Excellent breakfasts are a bonus, couldn't fault any part of my stay.

Easy to find, good parking, nice welcome and information. Room was bright, clean, and comfortable bed. Room was a little cramped, and shower was either V HOT or COLD. Breakfast was nice. Good internet. Would stay again.

What a Gem!
There is not one negative thing to report about Court Prior. I could not recommend it highly enough. The hosts Pauline and Anthony and wonderfully hospital and go out of their way to attend to your every need. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We had a lovely view of the sea from our room, and it has off street parking, which is definitely an added bonus in Torquay.

Perfect place to stay
This Hotel was truly a magical place. Everything was outstanding. The friendly owners were fantastic, proving maps, recommendations and such a warm welcome from the minute we got out of our car to the minute we left. The breakfast was amazing, with poached eggs cooked to perfection. Attention to detail was superb, the room décor was beautiful such a brilliant job, our view was lovely, very comfy bed and a quiet night's sleep. We will definitely be returning and will be recommending to all our friends and family.

A very warm place in the land of Agatha Christie
We went to visit Court Prior for a 2 night stay during easter 2015, on our way to Cornwall. After a very long drive in a rented Mickey Mouse car from Gatwick airport, it was lovely to be welcomed by Pauline and Anthony with a much needed pot of tea (and small easter eggs of chocolade !). Even though we have been in Torquay before, we were provided with many good advices and a thoughtful map of the places we wanted to visit. Our wish this time was in particular to visit Greenway (Agatha Christies summer house), which was also worth to visit. Our accomondation at Court Prior was a lovely clean comfortable en suite bedroom, excellent breakfast, great location and with two extraordinary caring owners. (If you tell Anthony or Pauline in advance, they will also provide you with Gluten-free breakfast.) Whenever we return to Torquay, we will choose Paulines and Anthonys Court Prior again. And this is told you by a Norwegian and an Argentine.

Nice peaceful location but close to town
Had a lovely long weekend away. Court Prior is located in a lovely spot on top of a hill in a quiet residential area but is only a short - and picturesque - 10-15 minute stroll down to the main hub of activity. There is a partial view of the bay and other hills, and I was told that one of the upstairs rooms has a particularly nice view. It is set in a lovely garden, nicely refurbished, well maintained and safe. The breakfast was great and the couple who run the B&B were really welcoming and helpful. I arrived from London by train and walked 20 minutes to Court Prior.
