Great hotel at good location
Nice location with waterfront view, easy walk to nearby restaurants. The room is a bit dated but clean, daily room service was very good. Reception was very friendly.

The property itself is outdated,and it’s under construction.i booked 2rooms with dual keys,but the other room is so stink and smelly.when we arrived the hotel there’s no receptionist in the front.not worth the money.this is honest review.avoid this hotel if you can,the pool itself is very dirty.ooh on our last night here we need to evacuate in the midnight due to fire alarm went on.bad experience, and I’m disappointed .I won’t come here ever again!!!NEVER!!!

We apologise reception staff were not present at the time you arrived, they were assisting another guest in the hotel and had left sufficient signage to advise they wouldn't be long.The fire alarm was activated during the weekend, fortunately it was a false alarm. The evacuation alarm is sounded for any instance like this to ensure the safety of all guests while staying here.Regards

The room had a very musty smell that detracted from the night we stayed. Fixtures and fittings a bit dated and in need of work - and towel rails for 2 towels would be good! (but very minor point) Staff were lovely!

Property is in need of renovation. Good location but is looking tired. Bed was good. Room had a balcony if you want fresh air. Room was clean. Check in and out easy and efficient.

This property was a pleasant surprise. It's right on the harbour within walking distance of lots of restaurants and a grocery. Super quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. I had a wonderful nights sleep.

Restaurant was closed. Website said it was open. No breakfast available unless you purchased at supermarket to make in apartment. Elevator’s extremely slow. Staff could be more friendly.

Returning Guests
As returning guests, the friendly helpful staff always make it a pleasure to stay there. Rooms are always clean and have all the amenities of home. Free parking on site adds to the convenience. Extensive views to Magnetic Island or the mountains.

The hotel was as advertised. It’s at the far end of Palmer street. Our shower would only give hot water if we ran the tap first and we needed to get the attendant up to turn on an additional switch to get the microwave to work (not the microwave switch). Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

This place was not what I expected, Water damaged room, ceiling that was filled with water, you can hear everything they do in the room next door, and party from the neighborhood that only stops around 23:00. Overall just a disappointment.

The door for room A or B was loud when shutting. My neighbour just let it close numerous times in the early morning. Maybe slow self closing or signs to be considerate to others?

After my last stay, where I experienced a number of unsatisfactory issues, this was much better, HOWEVER the entry door from the outdoor carpark up the ramp is still not working after many weeks!!!

Transiting Townsville
Came in late and met night manager. Not very welcoming. Door access from outside parking not working. Television not working. Confirmed with night mgr that all plugged in but still not. Wifi issues but rang help line and it worked. Next morning didnt work again. No complementary wine in room. All told to reception next morning. Night Mgr was supposed to give me a different WiFi instruction on desk. Also no ice receptacle in fridge. Was told it should not be filled because of Health and Safety. I said they WERE filled but no receptacle! Also said TV operation should be checked. Was given a bottle of wine. NO major problem but a lot of little annoying issues. Have stayed before and was very good. Will be trying again soon.
