We cannot say enough good things about this property. Extremely clean room, comfortable bed, very quiet. We were very impressed with Adam at the front desk who was very friendly, personable, knowledgeable...he did everything above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. Highly recommend this property!

It’s a non smoking property, and the room reeked of cigarettes. That was really unfortunate. Nothing that the hotel could have done for this, but just the fact people are outside the door due to my room being right by the stairwell talking loud and slamming their feet into the stairs all hours constantly waking me up. Was really unfortunate.

Our room was very quiet. The jetted tub was the best feature. We spent the weekend hiking in 30 degree temperatures with snow. The nice warm bath was the best. The guy who was always at the front was polite and friendly.

The motel was clean and looked recently renovated but the mattress was terrible, all sunken in the middle. The faucets in the shower and lavatory were loose and needed tightening or repair. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was sparse with little protein or fruit.

Clean hotel in perfect location
Older hotel in great location. Check in was a breeze, rooms were very clean and the shower pressure was perfect. Bed was fine but the pillows weren't good, just too soft for our liking. That's truly our only negative about the hotel. If we're ever back in the area we'll definitely stay here again.

Very nice place to stay for a few nights. Clean, friendly staff and it's close to everything. Only thing I suggest is bring your own pillows, the pillows were very uncomfortable, and it was all they had, we asked if they had different.

Great place
The room was updated, spacious and clean. The bath with shower was excellent and much better than most hotels. I had not heard of a Howard Johnson's in years but was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. Breakfast was more than adequate. There were bags of items for those who didn't have time to sit and eat or who had to leave early.

Room 121, handicap shower design resulted in the floor out next to the shower getting extremely wet even with shower curtain drawn. Floor in front of sink was covered with water and extremely slippery. Need better water retention in shower.

Everything was fine except the bugs. Spiders in the bathroom and behind stuff hanging on the wall. Upon checkout told them they need to debug there rooms. No comment made.

Odd that our room had no windows. Though comfortable it felt like we were in a basement! Hotel pleasant and only a short drive from the water and town.

We apologize if the lack of windows might have been uncomfortable, but because of our location this is the reason for having no windows. We have apartments and other hotels nearby but we are very close to both east and west bay and also downtown. Please see us again.
