Excellent service, super friendly staff , only critique is accessibility of electric plugs next to the bed , as everybody has phone, computer, ipad … to charge overnight. We had a wonderful time there, restaurant is outstanding on top of all

Excellent séjour
Très beau séjour au Vieux Logis. Service chaleureux, petit déjeuner généreux, plusieurs possibilités pour le souper, dont un gastro (pas testé) et plusieurs restaurants bons marché à deux pas. Nous avons soupé au bistrot qui appartient au Vieux Logis. Impeccable et addition raisonnable.

A very charming, antique building fitted out with elegant rooms and the usual top notch Relais et Chateaux amenities and service. Finding this hidden gem, however, especially after dark, is not for the faint of heart! Excellent breakfast served in the dining room. The well regarded restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays, which were our dates, alas!

Warm charming hotel lovely room and gardens. Breakfast was wonderful as well. The proprietors extremely friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in western Dordogne for multiple nights. The gourmand restaurant was closed for the 2 nights we were there unfortunately but we heard wonderful things about it. Antiques throughout but modern conveniences. Exceptional!

Exception stay in a magical place
Le Vieux Logis is an exceptionally lovely hotel with charm and character. The rooms are elegant and comfortable with many amenities (including bathrobe, slippers and especially, air conditioning!). The grounds are enchanting and our al fresco dinner in their Michelin started restaurant exceeded our expectations. There was a lovely pool as well which we were unfortunately not able to take advantage of as there is simply too much to do and see in the beautiful Dordogne region!

Vieux Logis
The hotel building was lovely in a beautiful setting with wonderful service. The hotel is well positoned in the Dordogne but there are not many facilities, apart from the hotel, in Tremolat so a car is definitely necessary.

Wonderful small hotel with a starred restaurant
Beautiful hotel and room. The room was spacious with a separate seating area. We could not make use of the outdoor pool and gardens because of the weather but they looked inviting. Excellent service. Both the casual bistro and fine dining restaurant were excellent. We would go back in an instant.

Je connais bien le VIEUX LOGIS pour y avoir déjà séjourné et profiter du restaurant à de nombreuses occasions. C'est un établissement qui a beaucoup de charme , le personnel est toujours à votre disposition et très aimable. Le surclassement pour les chambres est pratiqué facilement si l'hôtel n'est pas complet. Lors de ce séjour j'ai pu arriver tardivement après confirmation et étais bien accueilli. Mais qu'elle déception quand après ma réservation par votre intermédiaire l'établissement m'a informé que le restaurant était fermé à cette époque les mercredi et jeudi. Une si BONNE TABLE !!! Le restaurant "ANNEXE" EN FACE n'est pas à la hauteur et à mon avis et nuit à l'hôtel. Il me parait indispensable D 'INDIQUER sur votre SITE. si le restaurant est disponible.

A very pleasant stay in this delightful comfortable hotel with gorgeous grounds! The staff are always welcoming, friendly and smiling! And, despite the apparently necessary renovations being carried out, we were not disturbed at all and enjoyed our stay.

Michelin star meals nothing special. Sommelier was the absolute worst I have ever seen anywhere in the world. Bad mannered and terrible services. Perhaps he was the son of the owner, that's how he got away with still being hired at this premises.

Little slice of heaven
We absolutely loved this place and the small village of Tremolat. Staff were fantastic. The food in the restaurant is amazing, set in the garden looking down to the lovely pool area. The grounds are beautiful We would highly recommend a stay here.

Country oasis in a superb location.
A very interesting location in a hotel with great character. The staff were very helpful and friendly ; the food was excellent in both the main restaurant and the bistrot: helpful to try both for a range of menus. The room had charm and character but was a little inconvenient access-wise at our age and stage. The garden provided a calm oasis for outdoor eating. We felt we had chosen one of the best locations in the area.

Flawless
This property creates the perfect French countryside experience. It's an old sprawling farmhouse complex exquisitely renovated and stunningly landscaped in a postcard-perfect village. Its staff is genuinely friendly. The hotel owns a bistro and a sandwich shop in the village. On the Saturday night, there was live music in the village square as we were enjoying our dinner at the bistro.

Great service. I thought the bed was hard but the staff went out of their way to try to help. They put a thick mattress cover on and said they would change the mattress if that didn't work. Offered a glass of Champagne for our trouble

Beautiful & magical in a great town, but...
We chose this spot as our final destination on a much-needed vacation in Loire and Dordogne. Paying on the high end for a two-person room, we were pretty sure we'd be pampered. The grounds were beautiful. The front desk service was gracious and friendly. (The woman at the front even helped us with one of our huge suitcases when the regular luggage assistants couldn't be found.) The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and comfortable with a couple of exceptions. The aging bathroom's shower drain backed up, unresponsive to the control knob... But the real surprise was that nobody warned us the village would be celebrating independence day one night early, which meant that there was a massive sound system and stage positioned just behind the hotel, pumping window-vibrating bass until 2 in the morning. In fact, when we arrived, they only mentioned the "short fireworks display" that would be happening in the lawn out back. We were very tired and had hoped to have a peaceful, restful stay, which is why we'd chosen the place initially. I wish they would have sent us a heads up when we booked and allowed us to cancel. The noise was so loud that the room shook and my earplugs-plus-noise-canceling-headphones hardly muffled it. Usually, we'd just go with it and join the celebration but we'd been sleeping very little throughout our trip and were looking forward to the inn as a place to catch up on rest before flying back to the U.S. The grounds are insanely beautiful. Food was great.

Pas d'ascenseur dans ce vieux logis, mais personnel extrêmement serviable pour aider avec les bagages. Excellent restaurant au logis à ne pas manquer: le chef offre plein de surprises culinaires.

Luxury Country Living
What a beautiful property in the middle of the Dordogne valley. Tiny village with the requisite bakery. A 10 minute drive to anywhere. But the hotel is wonderful. The original building is antique-y and warm with fireplaces and overstuffed furniture. The rooms were a little "delicate" for us so we opted for a room in the building across the pathway which was more durable - hardwood floors, couch, armchairs, nice bed. The staff at this hotel could not be nicer. They went out of their way to find us the right room, make dinner reservations, provide advice on places to visit. If you want to see a truly beautiful part of France - walled villages, chateaus everywhere, wineries, farmers markets - then this hotel is a great starting point. To be sure - this is not Paris luxury. But this is very comfortable country living at its best. We have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Perfect Getaway
A wonderful hotel and restaurant! Room was comfortable, cool (on a hot day!), and well appointed. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The property was picture perfect and well maintained. Overall impeccable service and visit. Only very small critiques: The rooms let in quite a bit of sound, so we could hear others coming and going and talking. Also, the room had a few spots that needed cleaning and maintenance (paint by headboard, a few spider webs near mini fridge)
