wonderful!
Thank you Carolin for your wonderful apartment getaway! Your place was so clean and perfectly decorated. Every amenity was thoughtfully appointed. We have stayed in Garmisch before but can only imagine staying here in the future. We are planning our ski trip now and hopefully can stay again.

Die Unterkunft war ein Traum, alles war mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung war super, die Kommunikation einwandfrei. Wir waren 5 Mädels und hatten ein wunderschönes Wochenende und immer einen Ansprechpartner. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Danke nochmal! Kommen sicher wieder :)

Fabulous appart-hotel with a fantastic view
We were a family of four visiting southern Germany in early November. We rented a two-bedroom appartment at the Ferienwohnungen Zugspitze for two nights. It would be difficult to find any better accommodation! All the important items and extra little attentions are there. The house is clean, the beds are comfortable, there is a well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, a living room, a fantastic view out the windows and free parking. The owner Carolin is responsive and has customer service downpath! The only negative is that the wifi has very limited range: it was good on most of the main floor, but inexistant in the basement. The area around the house is quiet. It is also not very well lit, so if you arrive at night, be aware that the house sits at the end of a ~40 meter driveway and is not visible from the road. Look for the entrance that has a post with the addresses 17 and 15 on it. There are restaurants within a 5-minute walk. We went to the restaurant Chapeau Claque - it looks like nothing, but we got fabulous service from this mom-and-pop bistro and excellent meals. Highly recommended!

We had a three night stay in the property. We had chosen one of the cabins, which was an excellent choice for us since it was a charming woodcraft traditional setting, with a view of the mountains. Perfectly suited for two people. Check in by Carolin was very welcoming, with even a bottle of wine to enjoy as a wind-down from our drive. She was very informative about the stay and the area, and spoke excellent English. Grainau itself is a location of choice to visit the area - close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze, but without any of the tour-bus crowd. Easily drivable to the high intensity tourist spots like the royal castles. Grainau was certainly popular as a vacation spot, with basically all accommodations booked in the village, but didn't lose its charm. Restaurants, stores, cog-train and cable car were all easily walkable from our location. We would gladly stay there again.

This was the nicest property we stayed at during our 2 week tour of Germany. Every possible need had been thought of and was provided for. The property was clean, well kept and has beautiful views of the Alps. We only wished we could have stayed longer.

The owner is very kind and helpful, she even drove over to us when we were lost and called the hotel to get directions. Nothing bad to say about this place, the cabin we stayed at is pristine. It’s such a cute place and was very clean. Would stay again, 10/10

Fantastic stay and would certainly stay again
A truly enjoyable stay. Lovely host and the touches such as as the welcome drink, jams for breakfasts, foot tub with hand made oil, salt was truly appreciated. Wonderful views from the balcony even on a wet day. The pictures of the accomodation don't did the place justic.

This property was large, spotless, decorated beautifully, well placed for views, well-stocked for self-catering equipment. The owner communicated well with us before and during the stay. Ample parking.

Besser geht's nicht!
Mit unserer Familie haben wir zwei Nächte im Apartment Hochwanner verbracht. Der Aufenthalt hätte nicht besser sein können. In diesem Apartment fehlt es wirklich an nichts. Es war sehr geräumig für 4 Personen, uneingeschränkt sauber und aufgeräumt, hat einen fantastischen Ausblick von der Terrasse und ist wahnsinnig liebvoll und detailverliebt eingerichtet. Hier hat der Gastgeber wirklich an alles gedacht. Auch der Empfang war perfekt organisiert und sehr entgegenkommend. Wir können dieses Apartment nur zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Es hob sich deutlich von allem ab, was wir bisher in dieser Kategorie gesehen haben.

We did not actually stay at the venue. The photos on the web site were not sufficiently specific and the cabin we subsequently booked was not suitable. The owner was brilliant; refunded our money and even found us alternative accommodation nearby. The apartments on site are excellent but the cabin we actually booked is not really suitable for a 6 feet + person

Excellent choice
We stayed three nights in the two bedroom apartment caled Schneefernerkopf. This is a wonderful place to stay in every way... spacious, super clean, comfortable high quality furnishings, stunning views, thoughtful touches, genuine hospitality, convenient location for driving to the sites around Garmisch or walking to a restaurant. Perfect. Photo is the view from the balcony.

Gorgeous property but construction noise
We arrived at the main property, couldn’t find anyone and had to call, only to find our apartment was a 5 mom drive away. Gorgeous property with everything you can want but communication wasn’t ideal and also - not the hotels faullt but the owner should have advised - there was construction noise all day in the house across the road. The property was being extensively renovated and drills, saws etc going all day from about 7.30am. Probably should have stayed in garmisch as the location was much prettier and close to amenities.

Beautiful Apartment Hotel in Grainau
This rental apartment (hotel) far exceeded our expectations. We felt as if we were staying in a model home, and every possible need was in there, from pots and pans to shampoos to tea and coffee, to plush robes for your use. It was the perfect place to come home to after a long day of snow skiing, where we could cook a hot meal and sip on some hot tea. The mountain view was breathtaking as well. The host was super friendly and helped with finding a spa, told us where to go for rental equipment, how to get to the slopes and train station, and she was available by telephone or email at almost any hour. We will definitely be back, as it was a wonderful stay at a wonderful price. We will now have to plan our stays in that area around the availability of this hotel :)

Best place in Grainau!!!
Amazingly beautiful place! Immaculately clean and well appointed! Everything you could need is provided! Beautiful views, wonderful sauna, all the comforts of home! 5 minutes from Garmish, 5 minutes from Zugspitze! Located in an adorable town with a great German restaurant, a traditional backeri, a very helpful ski rental shop! Go! Enjoy! Relax and have fun!!

sehr schöne Ferienwohnung in top Lage
Die Ferienwohnung ist bestens geeignet für 4 Personen, ein Schlafzimmer ist auf der oberen Etage und ein Schlafzimmer auf der unteren, ideal wenn man mit großen Kindern bzw. mit 2 Pärchen reist. Sehr modern eingerichtet, es fehlt nichts, absolut top. Freundliche Begrüßung, alles wirklich sehr schön. Die Wohnung ist ruhig und trotzdem zentral in Grainau gelegen.

Super schöne Ferienwohnung
Ich glaube nicht das es eine Ferienwohnung gibt die besser und schöner ausgestattet ist. Von Ansichtskarten, die schon frankiert waren, bis zur Zeitschrift alles vorhanden.

Perfect vacation
The apartment was far better than I expected. The staff went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. The heated floors were amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need for a holiday stay and it even had things we could borrow to enjoy the outdoors that much more! The location was perfect, in a small town at the foot of the mountains and very easy to locate. It was one of the best rentals our family has ever stayed at. Highly recommend it.
