매티올 후기
체크인, 체크아웃때 체르마트역까지 픽업해줘서 너무 편했고 시설도 깔끔하고 조식도 훌륭했어요. 저 멀리 마테호른이 보이는 날에는 사진도 정말 잘 나오더군요. 유일한 단점은 체르마트역이나 시내?서 멀다는 점. 시내서 숙소까지 택시비가 22프랑이었어요.

안락한 호텔
여러 숙박형태가 혼재된 호텔입니다. 저는 독방 써서 넓고 쾌적하게 사용했으며, 발코니에서 바라본 마운틴 뷰 또한 훌륭했습니다. 리셉션의 인상도 좋았습니다. 피르스트, 융프라우로 가기 좋은 위치에 있습니다.

스위스 여행의 대미를 장식한 제르마트 호텔
위치가 가장 위라서 시내 나가기는 불편해도 조용하고 특히 마테호른이 잘보여서 좋았습니다.

또 오고싶은 호텔
호텔이 정말 고급스럽고 청결하고 너무 마음에 들었습니다. 역에서 조금 떨어져 있지만 호텔내 운행하는 택시를 무료로 이용해 불편한건 없었습니다. 스위스 여행 중 가장 최고인 호텔 이었습니다. 객실 및 호텔 모두에 사용된 인테리어 소품들이 다 고급 이었습니다.

A reception girl with terribly awful manners.
Everything was fine except "a reception girl". She seemed to welcome at the first, but right after giving us welcome drinks she had been very rude and awful from check-in to check-out. 1) She didn't give us any guide about check-in process. While I finished filling out the paper (that's the only check-in process) she took it, and said nothing at all and just focused on working on her computer. I asked how to get in the room and all that, and then she stood up and unkindly brought us to a room. 2) In the morning, we met her in the hallway but she would neither say hi nor give a kind smile, which was very unexpectedly impolite. 3) Her behavior has gotten worse when we were at check-out time. She didn't ask us "how was your night? everything was great? " and all that, but she only asked us to pay room-service for wine, got our credit card paid, and left it on the table. And that was all. How hard was it to say "Thank you" for her??? She definitely should not sit at the gate, the face of this hotel. Other Hotel Matthiol crews except her were so great. A reception boy at night was so kind to serve us a great wine as well as candle in the middle of night. A guy for shuttle bus also sincerely welcomed us from the beginning. A waitress at dining hall with glasses was also great and we felt very comfortable. (리셉션 여자 한 명 있는데 진짜 최악의 서비스를 보여줍니다. 체크인 종이 달랑 한장 주고 제대로 가이드도 주지 않았고, 지나가다 인사 조차 안하고, 체크아웃시에도 고맙다는 인사도 안하는 최악의 매너를 보여줍니다. 있을 자격 없는 리셉션 여자 빼고는 다 친절하고 분위기도 좋아요)

진짜 너무 좋았던 호텔
먼저 아주 역 코앞이 아니지만 픽엄/샌딩 등 원할때 전기차로 다 데려다줘서 위치는 멀어도 크게 불편하지 않음(차타고 10분정도). 호텔 서비스는 살면서 간 호텔중 최고였고 호텔 전체적인 디자인도 너무 예쁨. 정성들인게 다 느꺼짐. 그리고 스파서비스 이용가능한데 너무너무 좋음. 호텔 뒷편에서 마테호른도 보임. 정말 너무너무 좋음 호텔 가규싶어서 체르마트를 다시 가고싶음.

Very good~~!!
boutique hotel 답게 아기자기하게 예쁘면서 전체적으로 고급스럽고 편안했습니다. 아침식사와 레스토랑 음식도 무척 맛있고 친환경적이었습니다. 식기나 food style도 세련되고 고급스러웠구요. 객실에 비치된 욕실용품이나 심지어 물병까지도 하나하나 unique하고 세심하게 신경쓴 느낌을 받았습니다. 특히 check in을 예쁜 야외 테라스에서 한 것이 참 인상적이었습니다. 환영칵테일도 정말 맛있었습니다. 투숙객마다 직원이 일일이 호텔부대시설을 소개해주는 것도 좋았습니다. 체르마트 중심지와 약간 떨어져 있으나 산책하는 느낌으로 걸어다니기에 괜찮구요, check in 이나 check out할때는 기차역까지 데려다주니까 오히려 편리합니다. turn down에 작은 실수가 있었으나 깔끔하게 잘 해결해줬습니다. 통상적으로 여행할 때 4성급 이상의 호텔에서 머무는데 손꼽을만큼 마음에 드는 호텔이고, 남편과 2주동안 스위스 여행을 하는동안 이틀 머문 것이 아쉬울 정도로 가장 인상이 좋았습니다. 굳이 한가지 지적하자면 호텔객실 등급을 산전망을 선택했고 가장 낮은 것도 아니었는데도 방의 위치가 주차장입구로 구석지고 전망도 좋지않았던 점은 상대적으로 많이 아쉬웠습니다. hotels.com을 이용한지 10년이 넘었는데 예약할 때 방의 위치가 좋지않은 경우가 더러 있어 불쾌할 때도 있습니다. 이번 마티올 호텔의 경우도 그러했으나 나머지 시설이나 서비스가 좋은 것으로 무마되었습니다. 남편과 나중에 다시 오자고 약속했습니다^^

직원들이 전반적으로 젊고 친절하며 열정적이고 다양한 시설을 갖추고 관리도 잘 되어 있어 1박만 하게 된게 아쉬울 정도였다. 역에서 거리가 멀지만 이동을 카운터에 얘기해놓으면 호텔차량으로 지원해주므로 큰 단점이랄순 없겠다. 다시 체르마트에 가게된다면 이용하고 싶다.

Comparable to any 5 star resort on this planet in terms of service and cleanliness. The staff was AMAZING. First free drinks, then a tour of the facility. This hotel should teach a master class on service and staff loyalty. Every employee is friendly and eager to serve. I can't recommend Hotel Matthiol enough. I wish they had locations in every city because I'd book them exclusively from here on.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The property was very cozy and modern. The breakfast was delicious with many options. The walk to skiing was not too far. In the snowier months you can ski directly to the property for your last run. There was not enough snow for this run but we still enjoyed our stay and would stay again for a ski trip.

Hotel Matthiol is a terrific small hotel, very much deserving of its 4-star certification. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the rooms excellently appointed, and has exceptional views of the Matterhorn.

Wonderful experience
One might think a boutique hotel would offer small rooms, but not the Matthiol. Rooms and bathrooms are quite spacious and modern in addition to wonderful fitness and spa facilities. The best still are the people who manage the hotel. So incredibly friendly and helpful. Note, it is only a few min walk to the ski lift.

From start to finish. This hotel was a dream. Everything you see is what you get and a bit more. The staff were all so lovely and polite. They made an extra effort on my birthday which I did not even tell them about. Room service was great and always came back to a treat and tidy room. The breakfast was top tier, loads of variety and great quality. My room was beautiful with a picturesque mountain view. Very quiet and homely hotel. Running out of words to describe this place but overall was a dream. The only down side is distance from town centre, I had no problem walking 20-30 mins back and forth as I prefer walking and seeing the town on foot but if you’re unfit or unable to walk long distances it might not be suitable. Downhill on the way to town and uphill on the way back. Lastly the Spa is super. Outside jacuzzi Sauna, steam room, mud baths, face mask and relaxing area. Will definitely be back at some point in the summer season! Thankyou everyone at Matthiol Zidan

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The bar had beautiful Christmas decorations. We also loved the breakfast at the hotel, especially the Brazilian drink.

Loved this hotel! It has the perfect view of the Matterhorn. Extremely clean. They have the best wellness center. Easy to walk to the town. Hard to walk back to the hotel as it is up hill. But definitely a place to stay at. I hope to be back soon.

Kudos to Jacqueline and Lucas, friendly and professional staff at Hotel Matthiol. Jacqueline answered all my queries very promptly via email and Lucas ensured I had the fastest check in to my room after a long day of commuting from Wengen to Zermatt. He made it so fast and yet productive with all information required ready. However, the location of this hotel to town center is not for anyone who wishes to stay near town center. The shuttle bus frequency is about 30mins and you might not be able to get onto it when it arrives. The walk to town is not near too. It takes about 15-20mins One way but the way back from the Town to Hotel has challenging Slopes to tackle. It's not joke for people who are not able to walk much or far. Having said that, my room and view is awesome!! Oh and they had Welcome Drinks too..... Cheers!

We really enjoy our stay. The staffs are friendly and made helpful recommendations. They reached out to us in advance to arrange transport and see if we needed help with restaurant reservations. The room is gorgeous and I took benefit of the in room steam and sauna. We woke up to the gorgeous Matterhorn right outside of our window.

Probably the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. Rooms and spa were incredible with stunning views of the matterhorn and surrounding mountains. hiking trails right by the hotel to visit other places as well. 10/10
