Room was slightly shabby; carpet way beyond it's expiration date. Cheap/mediocre mattress. Otherwise an interesting, conveniently located historic sort of place.

My husband and I were totally charmed with our stay. We live only 10 miles away from Santa Paula and had never stayed at the Glen Tavern Inn. Dinner at the restaurant located inside the Inn was more than we had hoped for. Very romantic with a great wine list and an enticing menu. We were treated with the music of a vey accomplished musician who played the piano and accordion as we dined. The Glen Tavern Inn is very unique in that it is a very historic building. Our room was clean, comfortable and had the charm of being very original to the era that the Inn was built. The lobby is amazing! We love the fact that we found such a wonderful experience so close to home. It was a bit of a splurge for us... but then again so close to home!

If you want a great place for socializing over dinner for family reunions or with groups of friends this place is great. The dinning room is cozy and separated from great room that has ample seating with sofas, love seats, bench seats, and lounge chairs nicely arranged. Its also a historic landmark that has for many years said to be haunted.

This hotel is definitely unique, but I would not recommend the hotel. It has a cool lobby and the overall vibe is okay. The rooms are old and not that comfortable and there are no real amenities (we had a microwave on the floor!) but if you had to stop in Santa Paula (which I don’t recommend) this would be the place to stay. The restaurant is nice and the food is great! Definitely eat there.

The rooms were okay needed a little tlc the food in the restaurant is excellent and the service is excellent also this is our go too place in Santa paula when we come to visit family

The room was cold. It has a heater. I turned it up to 80 but, I have a thermometer and it was 42 at 11 p.m. I called the person on call . He said, you can complain about it tomorrow. I cant do anything. I will look for a space heater but no guarantee. I turned the heater all the way up to the maximum of 90 and it did kick it on and got the room up to about 70. It's an older and quaint and beautiful place but know that quaint often comes with things like no elevator, heaters that dont work properly etc.

Step back in time with a stay at this gorgeous hot
This is a beautiful restored craftsman hotel built in 1913/ It has great atmosphire..charm..you feel like you stepped back in time. Lovely resturant..piano on weekends..good food. n Whole hotel is loaded with wonderful charm. I will definitely return. Many actors have stayed here when a movie studio was filming.

I REALLY wanted to like this hotel ; I grew up in the area and was looking forward to it . The front courtyard is nicely kept . The lobby area is lovely , but who really hangs around in a hotel lobby all the time ? The parking lot is VERY badly lighted at night . My room was very dusty - there was a THICK layer of dust on the top of the draperies , and when I accidentally dropped a pillow into the crevice between the bed and the wall , the pillow came back up covered with dirt/hair ! There is a 6"step up into each bathroom , with no reflective tape to keep you from stumbling during the night ; there IS a plaque on the wall warning you about it , but who looks UP when you are trying to navigate an unfamiliar place ? The toilet is inexplicably raised another 2" above the rest of the bathroom , again an area of potential injury. The sink was SO SLOW to drain that it was practically unusable. The TV did not work , and I tried several times to figure out that remote with no luck. There are no in-room phones , and frequently the posted phone number on the website was simply not picked up by the staff ! This required ANOTHER trip down the staircase to ask any questions or get help with an issue, and after long days spent going out to visit friends and family I simply didnt have the energy to pursue it ! The restaurant is hardly ever open , and I didnt see ANY evidence of basic things , like just a continental breakfast or decent snacks . For the money , I was expecting MORE .

It's fun to stay in a place that has some history to it. This place exudes 1930-1940s Southern California. They play that up inside as well. Easy food within walking distance and the price was right. The bed wasn't very comfortable for me, but I think I would have gotten used to it after another night or two.

Very polite employees. A cozy place to hang out. Walking distance from downtown. I was a little disappointed because I didn't hear or see anything but overall a nice place stay.

where do you start? The cob webs in the windows? it's old and shows it, I guess if you are into the ghost and haunted thing it's ok but not would I reccomend.

The service was great. Very small bathroom and the sink was in the room next to the tv. That was kind of different. No pool.

Weekend at Glen Tavern Inn
Lovely old hotel, beds too soft for our taste (but that's us), bathroom small (but appropriate for hotel age). Reminded us of a hotel our family used to own. Pleasant and helpful staff. Definitely would recommend and probably would stay again.
