Check in instructions required
The location was perfect. Right in the heart of the old town. However, it would have been helpful to receive instructions about check in. We waited 30 minutes outside the door trying to reach someone to let us in. Finally we went into the restaurant below the hotel and it was there that we received our key. Also we weren’t told anything about the breakfast included but assumed it was in the cafe below. And it was, yet we were not provided with vouchers. All in all, a very nice place to stay but the lack of information was frustrating and marred an otherwise great experience.

Location and style in one
The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly indeed. What a location! Everything on your doorstep, you could just pop back to the room to pick up or drop off a jumper etc. We loved it and would not hesitate to go back. Just a small warning that the bar below can be a bit noisy, but with live piano music rather than people. It didn't bother us as we were back late anyway, but we did notice it.

Perfect location
We stayed at Roccaforte Scaligera for two nights while visiting Verona to attend the opera festival. The location is perfect and only a short stroll away from the arena. It is a small establishment with only four rooms. Our room was immaculate, spacious, with a lovely bathroom. A bit disappointing that the room was not serviced and the bed not made when we arrived back in the afternoon. Cupboard space was a bit limited, but for fine for a two night stay. The airconditioning was a blessing in the heat. Very friendly hostess/owner who is onsite every morning to prepare breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay.
This little hotel was great. Perfect location. The room looked like it was new but had old world charm. There was noise coming from the hallway but once the guests were in their rooms we didn't here anything more. Breakfast was great!

Fantastic B&B perfectly located in Verona
The rustic look this B&B has from the outside disguises an absolute gem inside. Opened this year, the Roccaforte Scaligera occupies the second floor of this perfectly located building in the heart of the old city. We booked a larger room and there was more than ample room including a full size sofa and large bathroom. Beautifully decorated inside and spotlessly clean, the rooms contain all the latest amenities plus air conditioning and free WiFi. A wonderful breakfast is included as well. Access is via a secure entrance and an elevator is available. Despite being located above a café near a main street, soundproofing was excellent and with the windows closed, no noise can be heard from the outside. The location in the heart of the old city makes sightseeing an easy walk and being across the street from a stunning castle adds to the ambience. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Verona but the Roccaforte Scaligera in the future!

Our host was excellent and helped us to park our car as there is no parking. We were attending a concert at the Arena and it was 5 mins walk so an excellent location.
