The check in process was very inconvenient . Room was clean and comfortable. There were no amenities until the restaurant opened at 4pm. Staff and food were very good. Completely unnecessary postings all over about covid restrictions that are no longer there.

It is definitely old but cute and clean hotel. Check in/out is all done by text communication, which I didn't mind at all. We got too hot in the night since they have steam heat system and we dont have a control for it. We opened the window to cool it down but it wasn't easy to close again since its old double hung window.

Absolutely loved our stay here. It was comfortable and cozy. The manager was also our bartender and she was awesome! Hard working staff.

Loved this place! Only thing was we got cold, couldn't turn up heat and couldnt get more blankets. No one would answer phone or return our call.

Staff was ready to help us, and willing on short notice. Didn't like the door code,everyone had problems with it. Very clean and no bugs.

Historic property so I expect a level of vintage and aged to the property, rooms, etc. Room was average. Heat was hard to control and at times the room was extremely hot. There’s a bar next door and it played music until very late at night. Not only could we hear it - we could feel it in our room. Which poses challenges to sleeping well late at night. Victor restaurant was not able to manage the small lunch rush - he was flustered and agitated with those that were there to eat or have a cocktail.

My daughter and I came in for the Ice Castles and Troll Rita. Had never been to Victor and enjoyed learning the history of the hotel. There's something about it that's so unique. Our stay was enjoyable 😊

Cute hotel
The hotel is very quaint. We never really spoke to anybody. We were given codes to the doors to check in. The room itself was nice. Bed was comfy. Found a few nuts on the floor. I slept horribly though because the room was so hot, even with the radiator turned to 0. I could hear the guy next door snoring and the pipes make a horrible clanking noise all night long.

This is an unusual hotel. You check in remotely and don’t interact with anyone. The property itself is an old hotel built in 1899. It is well maintained and the rooms are comfortable as is the bed. It’s a bit noisy with pipes gurgling. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the area who wants a comfortable place to experience a little of the old west.

Unique hotel
Great place to stay if your in the area. Very unique old school feeling. The bar and food downstairs was pretty good and don’t mind the hotels mascot Copenhagen he’s one of the friendliest dogs you will meet.

These rooms are refurbished nicely. The lobby and the outside of the building needs some work. A bit disorganized as far as the check in process as it is all by text. There is no front desk or on site contact.

Booked through Expedia. Expedia doesn’t share your phone number with the hotel, so didn’t get any check in instructions. Had to text someone when we arrived to get access. Got into the room to discover a broken window frame that was letting in substantial cold air on a night that was going to be 20 degrees or colder. Texted the contact again who offered an extra towel to mitigate the draft. I asked if another room was available. Apparently there wasn’t another of the same room type available (but there were other rooms according to the hotel’s website). We left for a bit and when we returned a towel had been stuffed around the window frame, but the room was cold. Texted the contact again. No way to control the room temperature in the room. There was supposed to be a space heater in the room for extra heat, but there wasn’t. Someone brought one to us quickly. This was a lot of trouble to go through to just be comfortable and not cold in a hotel room in the winter in the mountains. We weren’t offered any type of discount, just a towel and a space heater. This hotel has contactless check in, which is typically fine assuming you receive instructions (we hadn’t). There is a restaurant, but the person working there when we arrived wasn’t helpful and bordered on rude about her inability to help us. She pointed us in the direction of the closed front desk and told us to text the number posted. Cool historic building that required a lot of effort not to be cold.

It was a very old building that was very interesting. But not seeing ,not 1, staff was very inconvenient. Everything was through a text and not at all friendly.

Great alternative lodging option for trip to crowded Cripple Creek. Great communication with owners, comfy bed, but limited food in area.

Think Twice if you have kids
The hotel was fine. It feels like you are in a land that time forgot. I appreciated the historic qualities but my young daughter didn’t feel comfortable there so we didn’t stay at the hotel. We left.

The property is nice, clean and filled with nostalgia, we checked in and checked out via text and only saw one staff member during our stay. She was the bartender, wait staff and cook. There was no one on hand, after the one staff member went home, available during the night. We were texted a code to enter the hotel after hours and also a code to enter our room. We also struggled with the light controls. There were no instructions on how to operate them.
