Een zeer goed gelegen hotel gemakkelijk te bereiken met de trein als de auto. Mooie kamers en lekker eten in het restaurant. Minpunt is het ontbijt, mag wat meer vers fruit en natuur yohurt zonder bijgevoegde suikers of smaken aangeboden worden. Een zacht gekookt eitje mocht er ook aanwezig zijn. Het aanbod van brood is goed, zeker voor elk wat wils. Heerlijke koffie van de fairtrade. Probeer ook eens de sauna uit, je moet je hiervoor wel aanmelden aan de receptie, heerlijk na een verkwikkende wandeling.Zeker zijn geld waard.

good for a night.
Moderate hotel. Breakfast was not special. Coffee was definitely not good. Cappucino tasts like chocolate. We got a comfort room instead of a normal one. That was nice. Parking in front of hotel possible. Restaurant in the hotel was not bad. Good pizza and friendly personel.

Uitermate geschikt voor respectloze kettingrokers
Receptie moeten zoeken, bevindt zich op het eerste verdiep, niet aangeduid. Geen handdoeken op kamer: moeten gaan vragen, 1 flesje shampoo per persoon, geen zeep. Jaloezie aan balkondeur kapot, geen airco. Het terras was één enkel groot rokershol (ook de mensen die binnen zaten te eten kwamen met bosjes regelmatig naar buiten om hun rook over het eten van de niet-rokers te blazen) waarbij asbakken er voor niets bijstonden, de peuken werden dikwijls achter de balustrade in de goot van de straat gemikt, waar blijkbaar nooit geveegd werd. Geen appetijtelijk zicht.

Frühstücksangebot wird als "Großes Frühstück" verkauft ist aber sehr mager ausgefallen. Es wurde nicht nachgefüllt beim Rührei und es gab nur Käse, Salami oder Kochschinken. Die Butter war auch schon um 08.30 Uhr vergriffen sowie der Orangensaft. Es wurde ein Vogelkäfig direkt an der Rezeption mit 2 Papageien aufgestellt. Das laute Pfeifen durch die Papageien war mehr als unangenehm. Die Abrechnung war falsch. Hotelkarte am Abend am Haupteingang hat nicht funktioniert. Durch Zufall haben uns andere Hotelgäste reingelassen. Der Haarfön war kaputt (durchgeschmolzen im Halter, sodass man diesen nicht mehr rausziehen konnte) Die Klobrille ist defekt gewesen. Wollte beim Checkout auf die Sachen hinweisen, jedoch konnte der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption kein Englisch sprechen.....

Het hotel doet oud aan. Veel rotzooi, restaurant was niet open maar werd als opslag gebruikt.

Be careful: RIP-OFF
On arrival we were informed that there was no room available for us, although we had a confirmed booking which we had made 5 days before. Instead, we were sent to a dirty, old, run down holiday village nearby. This place needed urgent renovation, the rooms were smelling badly and the shower had no hot water. For the second night, we got a standard room although we had booked and paid for an executive room. When confronted with this, the owner of the hotel asked if we would have preferred staying one more night in the horrible holiday village??? The owner of the hotel offered us a voucher for a future stay, which we could not accept since for professional reasons, we would not be able to come back to this region. He refused any other kind of compensation. We have filed a complaint against this hotel. While we were there, the same happened to other people. To finish, the hotel itself was indeed quite nice, newly renovated with much taste. Breakfast was okay. The bathroom smells as the ventilation seems to be connected to the ventilation of the restaurant that is located below. The village of Vielsalm is not very interesting but gives access to nice walks in the neighbourhood. Based on what happened to us, I can not recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want to make a reservation anyway, please be aware of the fact that you may not get what you pay for!

Dear Sir, Thank you for your comment, I just want to adjust. Indeed you had a reservation, but due to a IT problem we could not honore it, and as we didn't had possibility to call you we had to find another location for your stay. Please note that reser a room for business only 4 days prior to arrival is a little bit short. + The period coincide with a high request reservation due to event on the track of Spa. The other person (as you were only 2 persons having this problem), accept the voucher and is already came back in our hotel. He was very satisfied and is become a regular guest. THank you.

Neat hotel in a great area in The Ardennes
It is a neat hotel. Modern design, and great spacious rooms. Vielsalm is greatly located among nice villages (Malmedy / Stavelot) and hiking areas. Only minus was the breakfast: limited choice, and oven breads that are not fully baked. A bit of a mismatch with the rest of the experience.

Bel hotel, bien situé en centre ville, accueil chaleureux, personnel disponible et charmant. La chambre a été entiérement rénovée , literie impeccable.. et petit déjeuner copieux . J'y retournerai !

Excellent hotel, bien tenu, bien organisé. Certes Vielsalm n'est pas Paris, mais quelle ambiance zen et detendue. Excellent rapport qualite et accueil / prix.

general impression
Spent ten minutes trying to find the entry to the car park which is poorly signed. Very limited/difficult parking facilities, kettle provided, but had to be placed on the floor to reach a plug. Came down for breakfast & found most tables littered with used crockery. No eggs available at breakfast on two of our three day visit. Appeared to be only one member of staff. Overall lack of "attention to detail". Would not return to this hotel.

Hôtel moderne, pizzeria excellente, personnel aimable. Passé 2 nuits dans cette hôtel lors du WEC à SPA Francorchamp et je ne regrette pas se choix (à refaire).

Probably the best in Viersalm
Viersalm doesn't have a lot of hotel options so The Myrtille is probably your best option. General level of cleanliness was good but torn bed cover did not give a great impression. We booked a double but got a twin - again a negative mark. The single pillow on each bed was far too soft and there were no spare pillows available. On the plus side the hotel was wonderfully quiet during our visit and the included breakfast was very good. Our checkout experience was bad as the receptionist informed us that the credit card machine was not working and we must pay cash. Was it really broken - I wonder? How can a hotel function without a working credit card machine.
