Nice heritage property in a great location. Beds are uncomfortable and we got many bed bug bites. Andreas was excellent, he helped us plan our wine tours. This is not a quiet building, paper thin walls.

This is a nice heritage Hotel. It has an good location . Unfortunately the beds are not vet comfortable and we hot many bed bug bites. The staff are friendly especially Andreas. He helped us plan our winery tours.

Infelizmente fue una mala experiencia, ya que no fue posible que los huéspedes llegarán al hotel en los días previstos y igual cobraron 1 día de estadía, sin tener utilizado los servicios de ellos. Cobraron $94.000.- mil pesos chilenos por una diaria siendo que nunca se ocupó las habitaciones.

Recuerdo su caso y consideramos que no merecíamos sus comentarios tan negativos, considerando que solo seguimos los procedimientos que todo rubro hotelero efectúa ante un NO SHOW y personalmente le trate de brindar toda la ayuda e información necesaria para explicarle las condiciones de la tarifa que usted escogió. Como usted señala los huéspedes no llegaron al Hotel, y No se contactaron con nosotros para informarnos, pero a pesar de esta situación, nuestro equipo les estuvo esperando y les guardo por 2 días sus habitaciones por cualquier inconveniente que pudiesen haber tenido en su vuelo. Finalmente después de 3 días sin saber nada de ustedes liberamos las habitaciones y proseguimos a realizar el cobro en concepto de penalidad por No show , la cual estaba detallada explicitamente en su voucher. Le recordamos que al realizar una reserva usted tiene diferentes opciones para decidir cual es la mas conveniente, y en este caso usted escogió la tarifa No reembolsable. También le recomendamos para futuras reservas, que usted pueda escoger una tarifa flexible donde pueda realizar cambios y modificaciones, aunque debe tener en cuenta que aún tomando la tarifa más flexible en cualquier Hotel si usted no llega el día de su reserva y no da aviso, se le cobrara un importe. Reception people are kind and helpful. Hotel is old style and beautiful. A few noisy but confortable for the price.

Es un hotel del quichicientos. Conserva estilo antiguo, con agregados modernos, pero no tiene ascensor. No te asustes por la fachada.

Un buen Hotel para estar bien.
Lo pasamos muy bien. Todo perfecto. Si el Hotel tuviera ascensor seria espectacular pero al realizarla reserva se sabia. Sirvió para hacer ejercicio.

El personal de servicio disponía de la simpatía justa, a excepción de una muchacha. Uno de los recepcionistas lo único que hacía era jugar al pc, dejando de lado la atención a los clientes. El ambiente era demasiado ruidoso debido tanto a los otros huéspedes como al tráfico exterior. A lo que respecta al desayuno, este era bastante básico y limitado, aunque podías pedir más tostadas, eso si te las traían con una cara de mala ostia. Lo mejor sin duda era la ubicación del hotel, la cama y la tv.

En general bueno el hotel, un poco antiguo pero en relación precio, calidad está bien aunque hay cosas por mejorar como por ejemplo el estacionamiento si no sacas el auto a las 9 del otro día te cobran $1200 adicional por hora.

O hotel é antiquíssimo, fomos instalados no segundo piso , contando , térreo, primeiro e segundo. Não tem elevador, as malas tiveram de ser transportadas a muque , numa escada tipo espiralada, vertical, com mais de 50 degraus até em cima, estreita e escorregadia, de madeira. O desjejum não tem frutas, o suco é de caixinha, dão uma fatia de queijo e uma de presunto mais duas fatias de pão e uma pequena xícara de nescafé com leite, se quiser mais tem de pedir. O refeitório é num porão, com mais escadas para chegar nele. O barulho é um problema pois fica junto a 3 ruas, uma passando em frente. À noite ouve-se os cupins comendo a madeira. Os móveis são rudes apenas o colchão é bom.. De quando em vez treme tudo , ao passar um veículo mais pesado. Fico com pena , mas essa é a realidade. As pessoas que atendem na portaria foram delicadas e prestativas, mas jamais voltarei para lá. Respondo essa avaliação mas não encontrei termos e condições a serem lidos.

Hay que tener en cuenta que la ubicación del hotel es en zona de puertos, por lo que hay bastante inseguridad y los vendedores son cargosos. No osbtante ello el hotel es del 1900, con buenas refacciones, pero el costo de estadía no coincide con el publicado en esta pagina. Ya que terminamos pagando $35000 chilenos, lo que con tarjeta de crédito argentina es un costo total de $662. Y a su vez la pagina no me permitio realizar el pago con tarjeta desde argentina.

Old but comfortable
Old hotel but the room quite comfortable. Good hot shower. Breakfast is simple; bread, cheese ham and cereal. No fruits. You can feel the tremor due vehicles moving on the road. As it is in the city center, you hear the usual honking, shouting, etc. Located in Sotomayor. 5 mins walk behind the hotel is the area which is not safe. There is a foodcourt and supermarket near the port. Wifi sometime not working and got to get the hotel staff to reset the access point.

Schön zentral aber laut!
Im absoluten Zentrum Valparaisos und gut gelegen für Entdeckungstouren zu Fuß. Jedoch hatten wir keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer. Das kann im Sommer sehr heiß werden, besonders wenn man unterm Dach im 4.Stock ist! Weiterer Minuspunkt war der nicht vorhandene Fahrstuhl. Das stand vorher nirgends und mein armer Mann musste 2 Riesenkoffer 4. Stöcke nach oben schleppen. Keine Hilfe durch das Hotel. Zuletzt sollte man daran denken, dass es im Stadtzentrum sehr laut ist. Auch nachts noch. Wem Nachtruhe wichtig ist, ist von diesem Hotel abzuraten. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Für 2 Nächte ok, aber wie gesagt nicht besonders erholsam. Man ist im Grunde schon K.O., wenn man die Treppen zum Frühstücksraum im Keller runter und wieder nach oben in den 4.Stock gelaufen ist.

Una vista explendida desde el hotel.
Excelente, servicio muy dinámico. muy amables en la recepción y muy amigables al momento de dar información de la ciudad. Super recomendado. A pesar de estar cerca al viejo puerto (NO quiere decir que el viejo puerto sea feo), la vista es hermosa y tiene transporte muuuuy facil!!!

Reasonable priced hotel in the old district.
We stayed for two nights and enjoyed comfortable beds. The room overlooked the plaza which is always very busy. There was a loud Zumba dance concert the first night but it was over early. It was Valentines night so there were a lot of couples out until quite late. I've come to the conclusion that everyone takes an opportunity to celebrate the magnificent acoustics of the square, whether it was calling to profess their love, duelling horns in traffic, or dogs barking out their joy of life. The next day there was a bus convention and the drivers tried to outdo each other with their bus horns on a regular basis, particularly when they began giving out awards. The staff at the front desk were not particularly helpful with restaurant recommendations but if you are not on a tight budget and can afford closer to North american prices, going up the funiculars to the district above, you will find lots of yummy restaurants within walking distance. Concepcion funicular was the best one, although not the nearest. The breakfast served at the hotel was reasonable but the basement smells of damp Mold so that was a little off putting. You can join a walking tour in the plaza around ten every morning, but be prepared for a long walk.

The locTion is good at the centrally located Plaza Sotomayer, near the port. This hotel is good, not great. The air conditioning doesn't work well but the rooms are reasonably comfortable. No elevator. The front desk staff are very helpful.

The worst hotel ever
Omg...how can I describe my stay at this hotel... Literally it was the worst hotel experience ever in my life! First of all, the images of hotel on the website is very very deceptive! We already knew it is old hotel so we have very low expectation. However, the size, condition, interior and rooms were extremely disappointing. The first room was on the top floor (4th, no elevator) and it was full of strong wax smell when we walked in! It was obvious they just fresh painted the wooden floor with wax and didnt ventilate the room enough before guests' arrival. On request of changing room, they didn't cuz they said the hotel was fully booked. Fair enough. The bathroom wasn't even taken care of: the bath was full of hairs and the toilet was full of pooh Because of these, they finally changed the room, which was same size. We booked superior double, but it turned out their rooms are almost same!! In all, it was very unpleasant stay for us. There are tons if hotels and hostels in Valparaiso, so stay at other hotels but this one.
