I reserved a handicapped room at this location. Expecting that we would be arriving late, I called to ask them to assure that they held our handicapped room, since I've had them given to other customers in the past at other hotels. I was given the email address of a woman, I thought was the owner or manager. I emailed her & explained our late arrival& my needs which included that I could use a room with a tub, as long as it had a shower seat & handheld shower. She confirmed my request. This was a couple of months before our stay.
We ended up arriving earlier than expected on our reserved ate. We were told that I had not reserved a handicapped accessible room. I said that I had & explained the above. They were able to find a shower seat for use in the tub, which would have been okay, except that the tub didn't have a handheld shower. The people at the front desk were nice & tried to be helpful, but they gave away the room I'd reserved even though we'd arrived much earlier than expected.
The stay here was not cheap & I was bothered that even though I'd gone to the extra trouble of calling & emailing, still my room was not held. The room itself was nice & quite roomy, but it didn't have all of the accommodations that I needed. I doubt we'll ever stay here again since my reservation wasn't honored, in spite of the extra efforts I'd made.
There was no soundproofing. Screaming kids running the halls, doors slamming & cold, preformed omelets rounded out the unpleasant stay.
