It's an adequately comfy dump
The place needs SERIOUS upgrades. They also need an exterminator or, at the VERY least to check for and remove waterbug carcasses from the room corners between guests. The room shouldn't smell old and mildewy. I am almost positive that I had a better, cleaner room on a 3 day stay in Phuket Thailand in 1996

Basically bathrooms are very dirty. I see whole water on the surface while bathing. Also main door isn't locking. Need refund for this.

Sleep with Creepy Crawlers
This should be removed from hotels.com. The room was 100 dollars and was beyond filthy. There were BED BUGS and we could not stay there. It has not seen an update since Reagan was in office and there were even holes in the carpet. Hotels.com did nothing to get me a refund so I had to dispute with my credit card company. Did I mention the mattresses outside the door had bed bugs???? And the room had more of the same?

It was horrendous. Bed bugs and dust.. No clean water in taps... Garbage under the bed... Staff was rude.. No bulb in table lamps... Worst experience i ever had.

The hotel rooms are in really bad shape. Humidity in the walls, stains and cigarettes' burn marks on the floors. Not recommended.

The property have a bad location. and looks like the area is not safe, the receptionist has a protective glass barrier (the one we see in unsecured location). Seeing that made me uncomfortable and unsecured. Plus that the room is not as the pictures in website, no room service. and checkout is 11 am which I haven’t see before. However, the place is clean.

Some good things here
Very much worth it. A good value for the price. (And in my experience this place improves over the years, so next year it may well be still better. Management has dealt with this set of rooms very well, I think.)

Day staff was rude. You have to get ice from front desk in a bag. The overall condition of this place is horrible. I’m not sure how they are still in business. There was mildew in the bathroom, the carpet was extremely dirty, the sink was about to fall off the wall, the furniture was dirty and lastly none of the lamps work. I mean I know you get what you pay for but jeez man. I do not recommend anyone to stay here unless you just don’t have anywhere else to go. I feel like I should be refunded some of my money the place was so bad.

Needs to modernize
Check in wasn’t computerized, even copying the credit card and driver license. Bathroom from the 1950’s and paint peeling.and smoke residue present.

OK, but you could do better.
This is an old motel in a highly commercial area. The staffer at check-in was very friendly and assigned me a room in a rear building. That allowed me to park in front of my room and got me as far away from the main road traffic as possible. The room was clean but could use some sprucing up. There was actually a separate work room/office and my wi-fi jetpack worked fine (didn't use the motel wi-fi for security purposes) . The check-out staffer was equally friendly. While the price was consistent with the northern Virginia area, I don't think the room was worth the price.

Have been charmed by this motel for years, finally had a reason to stay. The new owners have kept the original decor, porthole windows, prints of ships and "lighthouses" on the roof.
