A pleasant hotel on the top of the hills. The service was very good. One morning my breakfast was delayed due to a conference and I was given that on the house. The room looked a bit worn but pleasant and comfortable enough. My only criticism was the £100 damages deposit that they ask for upfront. I have never been to a hotel that asks for that.

An unassuming exterior belies the traditional classic interior...which is a lovely change from the clinical looks in a lot of hotels nowadays. My room and ensuite were clean and ver nicely furnished. Eden on reception gladly answered my questions & well behaved dogs may be accommodated upon request. The breakfast was outstanding and all the staff were very friendly and helpful..I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Nice views on a dry day
Our stay was satisfactory. We thought the hotel rooms needed updating. Location was wonderful and great views even though it rained all the time we were there.

Pleasant Business break.
Nice hotel in a lovely setting. Would stay there again for sure. Could do with a bit of an update in some areas. You would have to drive if you didn't fancy eating in the restaurant/bar area though as nothing nearby.

Thank you for choosing Pennine Manor.Our location is a little out of the way but this provides our guests with some stunning views. There are eateries within a five minute drive if you were looking for something different. Scape House Inn is a 10 minute walk.

Service and gaff great. Rooms tired and dirty.
Service was excellent and the staff were great. However, cleanliness was not great such as dirty carpets in the bedroo and the sink having hair stuck in it. The room itself was really tired and and the undersink cupboard unit was falling apart as well as the dressing table unit in the bedroom where the drawer handles were not screwed in. It's a bit of a shame as I can see the potential the hotel has. Perhaps I was given the worse room.

Excellent hospitality.

Staff fantastic but hotel needs an update.
It's a pity that the condition of the hotel did not match the excellence of the staff. Check in was smooth the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself was very clean but the decor was dated and showing its age. The mattress was showing its age too. The whole hotel seemed to be in need of some TLC. However every member of staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. If the hotel was as good as its staff the it would be a superb place to stay.

Have stayed here before when visiting family and friends in the area. Staff friendly and helpful, food is good. Lovely and quiet with fantastic views. As a female travelling on her own I felt safe. Will definitely stay again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending

It's location is brilliant for what we needed and the room was lovely. Was a bit warm but not unbearable and we could open windows as there wasn't much carpark traffic.

Hotel was ideally situated for me, for visiting family in the area. Wonderful views and some lovely walks. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I stayed room only so cannot comment on the breakfast. But there was a good choice of food in the evenings cooked fresh and very tasty. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Property was extremely handy for what we wanted - out of the way but also very easy to get into Halifax or Huddersfield (we wanted a hotel for the Piece hall concerts)... Staff on reception were all helpful, breakfast team were slow but we got there in the end... All was generally fine although hotel shows sign of age. Room was pokey but pretty clean and tidy. bathroom cabinet was in a state, blown wood etc... it does get a bit blowy and noisy even in July and it is all a bit basic, but then I guess that it is what it is for the money. For me the stay cost was higher than I would chose to pay for the experience, and that's despite the fact I would mostly stay somewhere more pricey.. but I also feel a bit mean by saying this as mostly it was a satisfactory experience... perhaps I just look for a little more than that. It would be a good location for Pennines explorers on a budget ! !.

The hotel is very tired. Would be easy to improve on small details. For example continental breakfast promised fresh fruit. Which was a bowl of four sorry looking orange and a bunch of going-mouldy grapes. Window didn't close properly in bathroom. Chairs in dining area had fabric hanging off from the underside of the chairs. It was all adequate but wouldn't chose to stay there again.

Very friendly and helpful staff on arrival, beautiful sceneries all around the property and food in the bar of an evening was good and nice a quiet, peacful! Service at breakfast was a little slow but only one waitress but was still briefly and polite and again the food was good
