Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is extremely well appointed and has all the amenities required. The beautiful view over the lagoon, fantastic and friendly service and a delicious breakfast made this a delightful stay - as always!

Memorable
We decided to revisit for our anniversary. Because of Covid it was not very crowded but the level of service was as good as we had previously experienced. Friendly welcome, efficient staff and very comfortable cabins which not even Eskom could diminish. Certainly it will not be our last visit.

Beautiful Belvedere Manor House.
Beautiful venue and enthusiastic staff. We went to knysna for a family wedding. Belvedere manor is a lovely wedding location. Ample comfortable accommodation and stunning views. The cottage we stayed in was lovely. Clean fresh and spacious.

A relaxing Homelite accommodation.
The cottages are all well-equipped. The staff were excellent. If I were in the area I’d stay there again

Nice hotel with cottages scattered in a large garden with views across Knysna lagoon. Rooms comfortable although a bit old fashioned. Charming staff.

Beautiful and relaxing resort
We booked a Deluxe Room Garden View and I'm guessing we must have been upgraded because what we got was a 3 bedroom house! The welcome at reception and then the irrepressible 'Jeffrey' was great, rooms were spotless, beds / linen very comfortable, breakfast spread was good and all in a beautiful garden setting overlooking the lake in a collection of colonial style cottages / houses.

Delightful cottage with view of gardens, pool and Knysna lagoon. Staff so friendly and helpful, especially Jeffrey who has been there since 1985. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great visit with old friends
We had friends visiting from Europe and we thought that Belvidere Manor would be a perfect base to explore Knysna and surrounds. My wife and i spent a weekend there in June and we enjoyed it so much that we planned a second trip. Everything was as we expected. The rooms are well laid out, very comfortable. Service from ever busy Jeffrey and his was exceptional. Whether we were just relaxing over a G&T enjoying the view of the lagoon or breakfasting on the terrace, we could find no faults. We will definitely visit again

weekend break
A weekend in mid winter, logs and firelighters were brought so that we could have an open fire in the evening. The room is very well laid out and comfortable. Wi Fi ok. Bit disappointing that the restaurant wasn't open as it is winter but we were not told when we booked and it is a fair drive into Knysna for dinner which we didn't really want. The staff were very attentive and efficient. The views over the lagoon are splendid

Peaceful in paradise
The estate is situated in a setting like paradise. It is safe and secluded with beautiful vistas and safe places to walk and cycle. The bird life is extraordinary. Most pristine estate. Calm and peaceful.

Were here 20 years ago and the place has hardly changed, it is now a little tired. But the staff try so hard its hard to fault .

Beautiful hotel
Belvedere Manor is situated across the lagoon from Knysna where all the shops etc are (a ten minute drive away) We loved Belvedere Manor because of its quiet location and had a magnificent view across the lagoon. The cottage we stayed in was lovely - clean, spacious and the kitchen was extremely well fitted our. There is a lovely pub onsite which served wonderful pub food and there's also a bistro on site for more restaurant style meals. Staff at the Belvedere were lovely. There was just one little thing I didn't like - the wifi access. Although it was free, you had to go to reception every morning to get a new wifi code code which was limited to 100 megabite. If you wanted to use the Internet a lot, it meant you had to go and get another code.

Awesome staff and amazing welcome and service.
The staff did everything possible t make our stay brilliant. Family of 9 from 11 to 74. Food was fantastic there, the pub was cosy and very friendly. Evenings overlooking the lagoon were idyllic. Jeffrey is an absolute gem. We shall return here definitely.

Gem of Knysna. You made our family Xmas trip !
We were a family of 9 from 11 to 74 on a Xmas/New Year trip. I had booked 10 mths in advance. The staff were ALL amazing. From the first minute we arrived to leaving 3 days later they could not have been more helpful. The pub, Caroline's Bistro. Breakfast on the terrace, food and service is sublime. There was nothing to be improved on. The star of the show is undoubtedly Geoffrey. Wonderful, fresh, No 1 service, super dooper, lovely jubbly.! This is a dream come true. We shall recommend it to anyone. We shall definitely come back. Thank you for your amazing hospitality. X

Fairy tale setting
We had a fantastic stay at Belvidere Manor. The setting is wonderful, and we enjoyed relaxing at the pool and simply walking around the area. The cottage was very nice, and the service great.

Badrummet var en gnutta slitet men annars finns det bara lovord över vår vistelse här. Underbar mat, mycket god service, en fantastiskt välskött plats. Vi firade nyår här och det blev en fin upplevelse utöver det vanliga. Rekommenderar varmt hotellet.

Traumhafte Lage, wunderschöne Parkanlage. Die Häuser sind in die Jahre gekommen und je nach Haus müffelt es in den Räumen und die Reinigung lässt zu wünschen übrig.Personal zum Teil nicht sehr freundlich.Management gut.

Stop at the garden route
We had a wonderful experience when we spend one night at this hotel. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast excellent and the view from the hotel over the lagoon is spectacular. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone Hans with family

old world comfort
Excellent hotel where guests mostly stay in cottages in beautiful grounds overlooking the lagoon. Quiet and peaceful location. Friendly staff.

Best Place to stay in Kynsna
This is the third time we have stayed at the Belvidere and have never been disappointed. The setting is beautiful, the cottages are well appointed and all the staff are always so welcoming and attentive and Jeffrey in particular is such a character you cant help but smile everytime he greets you with his "fabulous" comments. Great position, close to Brenton beach and a short drive to the main town of Kynsna.

Hotel Belvidere Knysna : calme et repos au lagon
Petite maison 2 chambres super propre et sympa avec cuisine et feux de cheminée dans le salon. On peut commander et se faire servir chez soi si on ne veut pas cuisiner. Petit dej excellent sur la terrasse du restau principal en face du lagon au soleil Staff très sympa, mention particulière à Jeffrey un serveur qui vaut le détour croyez-moi ! Situation idéale en face du lagon de Knysna. Malheuresuement, pas grand chose à faire dans le coin. Mais ce lieu est idéal pour se reposer car il est au calme, il y a une piscine et des ballades à faire. Bref si vous allez à Knysna, n'hésitez pas.
