Staff was very friendly, the room was perfectly clean and mostly comfortable with a truly impressive bathroom, and the location is just far enough off the main drag to be quiet but walkable. However...
The pull-down shades on my two windows didn't span the full width of their windows, and one of them also had a completely uncovered semi-circle window above it, facing another building where the upstairs unit and I could easily see each other through my window. Personally I prefer complete privacy, especially on a solo trip like this one was, but if you're into exhibition or voyeurism maybe that's a plus. Partially covered windows also meant bright morning light, and I like to sleep in when I travel.
The room also didn't have a comfortable way to sit and eat the meal I brought with me. There was a comfy armchair and a lovely antique sofa, but no good way to sit there and eat except out of my lap.
The dining issue is pretty minor, but I definitely wouldn't stay again unless I have an upstairs room and/or they update their window coverings.
