Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed your time here in the White Mountains and at the Nordic Inn. But I am so sorry your were not comfortable on the mattress in that unit, I know the owner's had put it in new last winter but perhaps it wasn't what you are used to, if it's too firm I can recommend they put a soft topper on it. Again, I am sorry for that. As for the outdoor pool, it is now heated. The heater had broken and was just replaced this week. We hope you will visit us again.

Dear Guest, I am so very sorry that you had a bad experience during your stay at the Nordic Inn. I was told that you had reported the smoke smell after your first night in the unit, and offering you a candle was not what should have been done. We try to provide better customer service and I have spoken with the staff that took that report and that will not happen again. But unfortunately that doesn't help with your experience. The unit below yours, which is not in our rental program, did have guests who were smoking. Unfortunately that was out of our control due to it's being a privately rented unit. I also did not realize it continued throughout your entire stay as I would have moved you to another unit. Again I am so sorry that I was not made aware of the ongoing issues and that your visit here at the Nordic was such a disappointment.

While every one of our rental units provide air conditioning we do realize that with the unusual heat records that were set this past week some systems did have a hard time keeping up, we are hoping Mother Nature sends us some cooler and drier weather soon.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay here at the Nordic. I am sorry about the pillows, we have new ones at the office which we could have given you. We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible. With regard to the smoking rules, those are set by the homeowner's association and they do provide designated smoking areas as well as cigarette discard receptacles. Smoking on the deck would allow the smoke to travel up to the unit above and that is one reason they don't allow smoking on the decks. Another is for fire safety. Hi Anna, We are glad you enjoyed your family stay at the Nordic Inn. These are privately owned units and while some owners do leave certain kitchen supplies and coffee in their unit not all do. We try to let renters know what to expect in our reservation confirmation letter, we will try to add a few more details such as the fact that renters should expect to bring their own grocery items. Dear Jon, I am sorry to hear that you were uncomfortable in the upper loft area during your stay. While these units do not have central A/C each upper loft does have an individual A/C unit. I am not sure which unit you stayed in and if there was a problem with that units loft A/C I do apologize. We try to let guests know to bring any problems to our attention so that we can address them. Again, I apologize if this was not done during your stay.

Dear Guest, It's still nice and quiet up here in the Western White Mountains with warmer than usual weather and still lots of color around. So if you are looking for a quick getaway we hope you will try us again.
