We enjoyed our stay. The staff in the breakfast hall were so friendly and very helpful. We will certainly use again, as it is a good location to visit family in the area.

My initial view of the property was pretty dreadful, the accomodation blocks reminded me of old council retirement flats they look so awful i was going to drive out without going in. However the interior is much better but some areas and features are dated such as the doors,fire doors and stair cases through the corridors. The rooms are ok but no fridge nor complimentary water which you would expect for the room fee charged. The bathroom is modern but small. The staff are friendly and helpful. Didn’t use the spa so can’t comment on this. Overall it was ok for an overnight stay but the cost for a very mediocre curry and glass of wine was £30 which is excessive and certainly not worth it. I’m not convinced that the hotel offers good value for money bearing in mind the exterior and other issues so wouldn’t recommend or otherwise but wouldn’t be rushing back. Holiday Inn should be doing better with this place imo as it’s better inside than out but a disappointing initial impression.

Gluten Free breakfast excellent
It was great to have an entirely separate Gluten Free area at breakfast with a separate GF toaster. All food on the buffet was marked up as GF or not.

Lots of room for improvement
Parking was easy at this hotel which was great, but when I checked in I was told that there would be an additional surcharge for my dog which I hadn’t been made aware of at any point prior to my journey. The room was well decorated and comfortable but in the evening became clear the sink was leaking underneath. I opted for breakfast the next morning and it was nothing to rave about but the evening room service was lovely if not a bit overpriced.

We enjoy our stay, the pool and sauna were very good although we think the fact the saunas were separated into male and female should be stated when booking. We enjoyed a meal in the hotel one evening , it was very nice and the service was exellent although being charged £9 for a glass of wine was a bit much. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Cheap and cheerful
Great hotel with friendly staff, Starting to show its age in places. Cigarette burn in the bath and some of the sockets were not working. Unfortunately our room was next to a mid corridor fire door that banged every time someone went through it and it work me up. Great price and location for me so couldn't complain too much. I left before breakfast was served so couldn't comment on the food.

Room spotless. Hotel clean but communal areas tired and standard of decoration in corridors poor. Bathroom tiny and cramped. Stayed in a premium room expected a lot bigger.

Great stay at Holiday Inn Swindon
We were met with a warm welcome at Reception and a straight forward booking in process. Asked to complete our car reg details on the desk tablet to avoid having to pay a charge and swiftly on our way to our room. There didn’t appear to be a lift but that wasn’t a problem for us. The room was very spacious with tea/coffee and biscuits provided. There was also a small fridge in the room which was a bonus. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower was big. The water was hot but the water pressure was not very good. It just meant washing shampoo out took a little longer but no big problem. The shampoo, body wash and body lotion were a nice touch and left us smelling and feeling clean and fresh. We also used the swimming pool which was a glorious 30c. Unfortunately the spa was out of action but it didn’t spoil our use of the facilities. The changing rooms were both clean and tidy with a sauna, toilet and showers provided in both the male and females. There was also a gym available but we didn’t use it on this occasion. Overall a really pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Swindon and we would recommend it if you’re looking for a place to stay just a short drive from the designer outlet mall.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times now. We return because of the location - easy access from the M4 and excellent base for the area; plenty of free parking spaces; comfortable rooms and beds; the breakfast (always a plus when it is included in the room rate) - wide choice of continental and English breakfast foods / drinks, plus waffles, pancakes, omelettes made to order; the pool - lovely warm way to start the day with an early morning swim, jacuzzi and sauna if you wish; the staff - we have come to know staff members who greet us warmly and eagerly await our return. Thank you once again for a super stay!

Family break
We used the Hotel as a mid point for our family journeys from 3 different parts of the country. Lovely comfy beds in a small room. Clean and well maintained. A mini fridge would have been a great addition but there was food available all day in the restaurant which had a surprisingly good menu.

Bedrooms were clean and tidy, bed linen and towels bright white and fresh. But the corridors were very tired, woodwork battered and chipped, and white paint well past its best. Breakfast was ok, although only skimmed milk for cereals! However the food we had in the restaurant for evening meal was mediocre at best, the burger was overcooked and as dry as the Sahara, with almost no ‘sauce’ present. I was hungry, but this was a struggle to eat! Things here need to improve. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Family catch up - here for convenience
Check in was muddled as I booked 3 rooms but didn't explain to some guests that their names were in the booking so my room was already allocated when i arrived. When it was sorted the staff were amazing and offered us a free breakfast. Travelled with a disabled family member. The hotel is old. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean. Staff at the bar and in the restaurant were so attentive. We had dogs in our group and we were welcomed to a separate dining area where we were well looked after. Evening menu really surprisingly good. Breakfast varied abd enjoyable. Swimming pool was clean. When getting our disabled family member into the Jacuzzi we were encouraged and offered support. Gym well equipped. Lovely place to meet up and stay.
