Ski Weekend
The staff here are very accommodating. The innkeeper offered to have someone drive us up the hill if we were concerned that we would not make it up safely during the pending snowstorm. Additionally, the chef at the “Speckled Hen” spotted my tween son, had a conversation with him about what he likes to eat, and then modified a pasta dish on the menu to suit his taste. Although the Inn is perfectly suited for a romantic getaway the staff did everything they could to make my son and I feel comfortable.

Great location with wonderful forest views. Food superb. Warm friendly service. Only minor issue was room was a bit warm and could only open one window which wouldn’t stay open

Weekend away in quiet VT
Great weekend in VT. Gentleman who served dinner, bar and was a host was rude at times to staff and made comments to us that weren’t appreciated. After 15 mins searching for ingredients to make a cocktail he commented when we were 15 mins late to dinner which was still in the window of dinner being served. Great hotels still welcome you warmly or apologize they can no longer serve you. This was clearly to make a point (terrible timing as it was a birthday celebration). He also asked if we were just looking up cocktails on the internet when he couldn’t find cocktail spirits when in fact I was describing my favorite cocktail (The Last Word with green chartreuse yum) while searching easier to make options... when he told us we couldn’t take our own wine to the pool there was no option to purchase a drink from the bar. Can see why this is no longer a R&C property. Becky and Amanda (?) the hostess were fantastic as were breakfast staff. Room was well made every day. Property is gorgeous. If you want to get away and disconnect highly recommend. Dinner is OK but because there weren’t many options in the area we ate there twice. Lovely breakfast trumps the dinner.

From the moment we walked into the reception office (last minute trip) we were welcomed and treated so kindly. The Inn was warm and welcoming just like the staff. The property and rooms were immaculate and every detail was attended to. We were given a welcome treat of homemade cookies and a tour of the Inn and renovated barn where our room was. The restaurant had a beautiful view of a pond and the menu and wine selections were top notch! The food was so flavorful and fresh I could have eaten everything on the menu!. Water, coffee and tea stations were available 24/7 in the main Inn as well as the barn and so was the pool! Omg the pool was so fabulous and warm with a gorgeous view of the mountains. We did not want for anything during our stay and can't wait to go back! I am absolutely in love with this Inn! Thank you Windham Hill Inn for taking such good care of us during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful country inn needs more staff on weekend
This was our first time at the Windham Hill Inn. We arrived during the first busy weekend of the summer season. The staff, who were all very friendly, were somewhat hard to find and the Inn appeared to be understaffed for a Saturday in the summer. During check-in, after ringing the bell twice, we only found assistance after walking over to the restaurant. The dinner and breakfast were located in a lovely dining area. The staff, however, seemed woefully overwhelmed, especially when trying to keep up the somewhat stiff and formal atmosphere, which undermined the level of service. The waiting time just to be seated, as well as the waiting time between meal courses, were painfully slow. The food also did not meet our expectations for the farm-to-table culinary tradition that we have experienced in similar venues in Vermont. Our room in the refurbished barn was breathtaking. The sitting area, bathroom, and furnished balcony with views of the green mountains were the memorable highlights. The mattress, however, sagged heavily in the middle, making it difficult to sleep, and the skylight windows facing east near the balcony woke us up very early in the morning, due to the bright sunlight that filled the room. For the price of our stay, we had hoped to have a more relaxing weekend in a room where we would be able to sleep. Other than these details, which I'm sure can be fixed, we enjoyed the grounds, the beautiful room, and the special touches of the exceptional housekeeping staff.

Excellent relais chateau experience
We had a great stay in the "forget me not" suite, which came with a fireplace and standing tub. The food was much better than expected, and the service was on par with the relais chateau experience. We got snowed in on Saturday, but couldn't have been happier about it. We would definitely stay again.

This property was gorgeous. You felt very far away from the hustle and bustle of a busy life, but were actually not too far from things. The grounds were impeccable, the staff were fantastic, the food was amazing. We stayed in the Forget Me Not room and it was one of our "top ten" ever! So beautiful. We would love to come back!

the inn was lovely! we loved how there were little nooks throughout with games and puzzles. all of the food was delicious and the staff were all so thoughtful and friendly.

Unexceptional
It's hard to find the good bones of this old farmhouse. Decorated in the most conventional sense without a glimmer of humor or real style. Breakfast was delicious but the atmosphere stiff and formal. Lots of floral. I was hoping for a pillow top mattress but got temperpedic and a rather hard pillow. The grounds were at a disadvantage for the time of year...no snow. Hard to put this in the same category as other Relais and Chateau.

Cozy and charming
Wyndham hill is cozy and charming. Our room was clean although it's a bit loud (it was on the ground floor near the entrance). The staff is friendly. And food is good.

Nice B&B but too expensive for what it is
Although the place is very nice in a quiet setting I don't feel you get good value for your money. And because of that I would not come back. There are alot of other great B&B's that are a lot less money and are just as nice. Our room although very clean it was nothing special. We were in the main house near the kitchen and heard loud noises around 7-7:30am when they must have been preparing breakfast.

Loved the fact that the inn was off the beaten track. Also loved the focus on outdoor activities, and the meals were delicious. However it was expensive and the room was nothing special and we had plumbing issues. Most of the staff were very friendly and accommodating but not all.

Fabulous birthday getaway
We booked for my husband 's birthday and the staff went out of their way to provide fantastic meals, special birthday dessert as well as excellent customer service. We enjoyed a beautiful hike on the grounds and the pool was refreshing and nicely situated. Our bed was so comfortable, the room had an amazing view and we just wish we could have stayed a little longer!

Beautiful and relaxing Inn
Stayed in the William's room which was in a converted barn a short walk from main building. Room was full of character, lots of exposed wood and it functioned very well for us. Patio doors onto deck had wonderful views over grounds and surrounding hills. Close to lovely open air pool with sun loungers. One of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in. Very relaxing and beautiful location. Food was very good quality and friendly bar to relax in evening. Enjoyed the little touches such as local cheese laid out in the afternoon to sample.

Beautiful remote getaway with stunning view!
Windham Hill Inn was the absolute perfect spot for my husband and I to go on our MiniMoon! It was easy to find and was a dream to drive up to. The Inn is decorated with beautiful vintage items and feels so homey. The rooms were so cozy with a very comfortable bed and everything was so clean. The service was impeccable. We were given champagne on our second night which was such a nice surprise. The turndown service is such a nice touch, with a note telling you the weather the next day and advice on an activity to do close to around the Inn. The breakfast included was wonderful - always with a daily baked pastry and a delicious fresh smoothie taster. We stayed for dinner at the Inn one night and it was delicious. Prepared by a prior Manhattan chef. It was a little bit pricey, but very lovely to have the option to stay at the Inn for dinner if you wanted to. The property was also beautifully maintained. The different areas to sit were perfect, and the view from the pool was stunning. We went on two of the hiking trails that the Inn recommended and it was a nice little hike for one morning! The spa was also lovely to have access to. The husband of the couple who have the spa performed our massages and was absolutely fantastic! The innkeeper was very helpful and sweet and answered any questions we had. Overall it was just a lovely experience and we would highly recommend the Inn to anyone.

Put this one on your bucket list for sure!
Rachel, Gregg and Jamie... you must spend time with them! I was only there one night but feel like family. Rachel is a gracious, caring devoted manager. Greg plays the part of a wine enthusiast but he is an amazing listener. Jamie is just about the most incredible gourmet chef I've ever met. Go there, they are worth the trip!

Quiet country setting with gorgeous views
We were only there two nights, so didn't have time to take advantage of all that the Inn had to offer. But what we did experiences was consistently pleasant and helpful staff, besutiful gardens, beautifully decorated rooms and peaceful setting. Also very good food. The included breakfast was amazing and plentiful.

Everything I expected plus more
Being from NYC and just getting home from a trip from Vail where I stayed at the Ritz, I have very high standards for accommodations and this Inn deserves a perfect score. Upon arrival, the in keeper came out to welcome us and give us a hand with our bags. We found the Inn to be very clean and well maintained. There is also an excellent restaurant where I had the best chicken dish that I've ever had. All of the employees were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was enjoyable.

Lovely spot to relax

Relaxing and luxurious
The Windham Hill Inn is nestled on a spectacular spot in the mountains of Vermont. Remote, quiet and romantic, the Inn has all the amenities one could ask for. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, but the best part of the day is spent contemplating the wooded mountain range from the pool, an Adirondack chair, or a comfy chair in the sunroom.

Perfect Vermont Getaway
The Windham Hill Inn was the perfect venue for our recent vacation to Vermont. The staff is very warm and friendly, and made a real effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The inn and it's grounds are meticulously maintained, and the views of the surrounding countryside are breath taking. The food was delicious and they have a very impressive wine list. I would definitely stay here again.

Very charming, wonderful staff, good food, clean, comfortable rooms, free good wifi. Absolutely recommend.

Relaix Chateau????? Hmmmm....
Beautiful remote location and very quaint. It had just snowed when we got there and couldn't have been more romantic. Room was nice but fireplace turned out to be gas stove and could have used a tv for movies, etc. Relaix Chateau? The restaurant...with captive audience...wasn't great and bordered on bad. Very unimaginative with undercooked fish and overcooked duck. The $35 for all entrees(outside of the Prix Fixe and Tasting Menus) was silly. Relaix Chateau promotes it's great chefs. This was not one of them. Other than that, Katia, the innkeeper was delightful and and ambiance(Vermont quaint but not all that pretty) was just that...quaint but not what you would expect from...pardon the expression... a Relaix Chateau. Would recommend to friends with caveats.
