Used as a stopover on our way to South Wales, we were going to be late (outside their check-in window) so called ahead. They were more than accommodating. There was a problem with hotels.com cancelling and rebooking, but was barely a blip, caused no problem beyond a bit of a conversation, and certainly not the Bull's Heads' fault. Bar area is small but service is efficient and friendly. Had a twin room (5). A quirky layout to the room but nothing wrong with that, room was clean, with enough towels (though a bath mat towel would be helpful I think). Beds were very soft, perhaps too soft!!!! hahaha We didn't experience any noise from outside as we didn't go up to our room until the bar closed. Breakfast the next morning was excellent, and for less than a tenner its worth it and then some. It's not the Four Seasons, and doesn't claim to be. Good size rooms, clean rooms, hot water (shower pressure was fine - I've seen some reviews to the contrary), good breakfast. What more do you need?
