Disappointing stay
The hotel staff were very friendly. We were given a classic room and discovered that the wash hand basin was severely cracked. We reported this immediately and were told a new one was on order,no offer of a room change despite the hotel being very quiet.We feel that as a 4 star hotel,guests should not be placed in a room that has a damaged hand basin.It was a disappointing stay.

Lovely country hotel
Lovely hotel in a stately early 20th century estate house. Friendly and responsive service. Nice bar for pre or after dinner drinks. Wanted to stay longer!

Hotel busy because of a wedding on day of arrival and then another the next day therefore staff were concerned with wedding guests and no one else. Breakfast was good quality but staff were few and far between and hence didn’t feel appreciated and wasn’t a relaxing experience as the staff were rushing around. Hotel furnishings a bit tired in main areas.

Property is beautiful and the staff were very good. Not enough staff. Ones who were working were very good and very nice. Seemed short staffed. Meals were very slow. Had to wait for up to an hour for meals. No condiments on the table or napkins. Cooking was poor. Ran out of some foods on the menu and bar drinks. Poor value for money paid.

We did experience some operational challenges over the weekend which did unfortunately impact the quality and speed in which food was leaving our kitchen. A worthwhile experience
Spot on you would have to be extremely picky to have cause to complain. All of the staff exceedingly helpful (including the Chef offering to cook off menu food for dietary needs) and personable.

Great service, very nice comfortable room with great amenities. Very good food in restaurant. Breakfast is excellent with large choice, all cooked to order. The staff are fantastic, helpful and client focussed.

Loved the beautiful grounds & the history of Crathorne Hall. The grandeur of the building is stately. The breakfast choices were deliciously prepared with ample choice. Staff, very professional in all areas. Once the heating went off mid evening, the room temperature dropped very quickly. It was a chilly night and chilly start to the day. I’d recommend keeping the heating on & investing in double glazed window frames.

A very welcome three-day break
Staff very friendly welcoming and helpful. Billing system not robust, we were overcharged £250, and had to take time sorting it out. Also had trouble with our daily paper, and reception didn't handle our debit card properly. Meals especially breakfasts excellent, wines vastly overpriced.very comfortable lounges and a beautiful setting.

overnight stay
Staff were friendly and helpful ....barman was knowledgable and interesting...breakfast was very nice as was the service Our room was dated which was a little disappointing however we have been informed that there are some newer rooms in the hotel

The hotel itself was great! The staff were friendly as expected. However only down side was that we called for the spiders in our room to be taken out three times!
