Enjoyable stay
We like the cleanliness and decor of the cottage. The owners are super friendly and went all out to assist us in the check in. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful.

It was so relaxing specially after a hectic week it will be the best place to visit. We really enjoyed the stay. Would love to visit again. Also we appreciate the hospitality given. Such a nice and calm place.

Lovely retreat to spend a couple of nights before we headed back to the UK. All open plan with steps going down to the bathroom consisting of a spa bath, double shower and even a sofa. Breakfast was selected the day before and delivered to you in the morning and was delicious. We did a trip on the Puffing Billy Train which was close by and some nice places to eat a short drive away.

Beautiful spot
What a beautiful spot hidden away surrounded by lush rainforest. Just a short walk to William Ricketts sanctuary made the short getaway very special.

Personal forest sanctuary
An amazing retreat. The decor was warm and inviting. The infrared sauna and jaquzzi tub made our stay feel like we had our own personal day spa. The location nestled in the forest provided a serene escape from the fast world and yet we were perfectly situated to walk to dinner and the fabulous William Ricketts Sanctuary . The room was stocked with everything you could possibly need. So much attention to detail to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast, cooked to order was scrumptious and delivered to our suite. For a romantic getaway or just time alone I highly recommend this beautiful location. We will definitely return.

Cottage was amazing, great spa and sauna. We had the best in house massage and complimentary breakfast in the morning. Only down side is bedroom is on the 3rd floor and toilet is on the 1st floor, which is not great when heavily pregnant. Other then that this place is perfect.

It is really easy to understand the challenges of navigating stairs of a 3-storey suite when heavily pregnant. Perhaps the single level Gallery Suite or the Linden Cottage would have been a little easier to move around, though the treetop views from the Sanctuary Tower bedroom are amazing. Perfect weekend getaway!
My partner and I have stayed at Linden Gardens on several occasions and we always enjoy our stay. The environment is relaxing and the location is great! It is conveniently close to several restaurants, cafes and bars. The included breakfast is also fantastic!

Loved the quiet, leafy location and outlook. The facilities were good, loved the spa and sauna. Bed very comfortable, and it was great to look out through the treetops. Also, the breakfast - served to our room - was fantastic. We appreciated the late checkout too. One thing to be aware of is that the venue would not suit anyone with limited mobility. Access between floors is via a steep spiral staircase. The bedroom is on the top floor, the bathroom (and toilet) two floors down. So, while I understand the retreat has been built to maximise the outlook, there is a compromise in terms of the practicality of the venue.

Beautiful Sanctuary - Highly Recommended
Beautiful Sanctuary less than an hour from Melbourne. Minutes to sights, shops and eateries, but feels like it’s miles from nowhere. I stayed in the Garden Retreat and the only complaint I have would be that I did not stay longer. I will definitely be back. Great for solo retreat or romantic getaway.Enjoy

We arrived late after work around 7:30pm - it was a cold night and when we walked inside, it was beautiful and warm, music going, it was extremely romantic. We had such a cozy stay. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful, felt like we were at home. We just needed to remove ourelves from society which is exactly what was achieved. We will definitely be back! Thankyou so much for a relaxing quick getaway

The room was stunning and so many small details around the room which made the experience at Linden Gardens even better. Delicious cooked breakfast (my poached eggs were cooked PERFECTLY) The ultimate relaxing and romantic escape. Would definitely recommend to my friends and definitely go back again myself!

i have stayed at many 5 star hotels and i muat say Linden gardens is by far the nicest room i have ever stayed in. Everything in the room has been well thought out it was beautiful.

Sheer perfection from the minute we arrived. The only thing I have to say that is negative, would be about the skylight type window above the little indoor garden in the Linden cottage, its a real pain at 5:30am when it beams sunlight directly into your face and wakes you up. Other than that the room was SO romantic, beautifully set up, and wonderfully stocked. Breakfasts in the morning were cooked perfectly and the French Toast is the best I've ever tried!

We were more satisfied with our stay in the Linden Gardens and would definitely come back to stay again. One small area of improvement would perhaps be improving the accessibility to the rooms from the car park in rainy weather. This is because we had difficulty moving our suitcases in the rainy weather on the wooden ramp as the fallen leaves was caught in and jammed the wheels on our luggages!

Such a relaxing and comfortable stay!
We had a lovely relaxing time at Linden Gardens. We stayed in the Sanctuary Tower, which has a fantastic lower level spa bathroom complete with infrared sauna, the largest two-person whirlpool tub we've been in, and huge shower. The only downside was that the toilet was on the same level, and the bedroom is on the third level, connected with spiral staircases, so keep that in mind if you need bathroom breaks in the middle of the night or you have mobility issues! Rooms were very comfortable - our main quibble is that the couch and chair in the living area could do with a thorough cleaning or slip covering (or replacing) - they were stained to the "icky" point. The entire property is in the middle of the rainforest, and very secluded - great for relaxing! The tower room has a lovely outdoor patio on the second floor where you can enjoy your breakfast, which is delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Never disappoints.
This was the second time that we've stayed but we upgraded to a bigger room. The last time we stayed was about three years ago. They still provide the same great service that they did back then. They really have thought of everything to make it a comfortable stay. And the breakfast is so yummy. I would definitely recommend for a relaxing and romantic night away.

Sleeping amongst the tall trees
From the moment you step onto the front decking, you can breathe a little easier. Wood and windows letting in light and the rainforest delight the eye. A wooden staircase leads to an ample sized bedroom, also featuring myriad windows showing the magnificent, tall trees of the Dandenongs. A tailor made delicious breakfast delivered to your door completes the pampering experience.

we had a wonderful time again at linden garden. This time we stayed at the garden retreat but I personally prefer the linden garden retreat. It was romantic and the service was 5 stars. However the place is getting a bit tired so would do a good refurbish.

Amazing, cozy, homely and romantic.
My beautiful girlfriend and I stayed for the night for our 6 month anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate together. We arrived early after touring the William Rickets Sanctuary and didn't really have anywhere else to go and they were lovely enough to let us check in almost 2 hours before 2pm (usual check in time) with no issues or extra costs. We were amazed to see how well supplied the place was, we stayed in the Garden villa, it was beautiful and cozy. Spa, fire place upstairs and downstairs, fridge, coffee/tea and milk and mini bar as well as TV's both upstairs and downstairs, suede couch, shower, amazing king size bed with full linens and pillows. It was absolutely perfect. Could not ask for a better experience. Thanking you Linden Gardens for making a special day perfect!

Was a little rainforest retreat with everything you need for a short stay... Beautiful relaxing music already playing on arrival .. The ambience within the room was nothing I've experienced before. The spa and candles took away the stresses of everyday life and the bed was so comfortable it was like sleeping on a cloud!! Amazing place!
