We had a wonderful 2 night stay at The Endeavour! Cameron is a fantastic host, so friendly and approachable. Amazing breakfast too!! Comfortable room with good facilities. Staithes is peaceful and a great base for exploring more of the coast. Thanks for a lovely stay

10 out of 10, had a good night sleep, room had a fab view Main Street, pub with great food only a few steps away. breakfast amazing, Cameron is a star looked after us well. Would recommend a stay not only in Endeavour B&B but Staithes which was just beautiful full of cobbled streets and history.

Splendid B&B
Wonderful stay at The Endeavour, which is in the perfect location to get the most out of magical Staithes and everything nearby. Cameron was friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are beautifully decorated and finished with characterful touches. Finally, breakfast was delicious!

We stayed at the endeavour on Tuesday night, the bed and breakfast was absolutely beautiful, our room got upgraded and the view was amazing. We had a lovely restful night's sleep, and woke up Wednesday morning to be treat to an amazing breakfast cooked by the host Cameron.

Beautiful setting and property with loads of character and history - David is a fountain of local knowledge and very welcoming to all. Parking is the biggest problem for everyone and for those with dodgy knees/hip maybe the hill isnt for you but the views once you get there are definitely worth it!!.

Lovely stay with a great host
David is a brilliant host, with knowledge of the local area second to none. We loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. The breakfast was amazing! Just a word of warning, take your ear plugs as the seagulls start early!!!!!

Lovely b&b, small and cosy. Right on the high street and so close to the sea. David was very helpful and a great host. Veggie breakfast was delicious.Tastefully decorated with everything you need for a relaxing trip to the north coast.

Very clean and comfortable room with great views of the cobbled high street. Had a wonderful fresh, smoked kipper for breakfast. Very enjoyable stay and great location in the heart of Staithes.

Lovely Hotel in a Beautiful Village
Dave (the owner) couldn't have been nicer. He is very welcoming with a happy and chatty disposition. The Endeavour could be considered as a home from home as it reminded me of a house and not a horrid commercial hotel. The room was clean and had everything you need to make your stay comfortable. If you are visiting that part of Yorkshire, I would hope you don't have any plans to stay in your room as the village is absolutely beautiful with a few lovely pubs and places to eat. Dave is a great cook as my belly can confirm after all those full English breakfasts. If I had to pick holes in the whole experience it would be the lack of parking close by. The nearest parking is at the top of a very steep hill. You can drive through the narrow street to drop off your luggage but then you need to. I fear this could be a problem if you have someone in the family who has need of a wheelchair. The parking will cost you £5 for 24hrs; make sure you pay as the parking wardens are about at all hours. In summary, the Endeavour is excellent and Dave is so very nice that you will want to take him home with you. I highly recommend him and it to you all.

We felt an inconvenience from arrival to leaving.The lady who greated us was flustered and complained, everyone is arriving all at once. We wasn't shown to our room as she had to move her car. When we said we would like breakfast at 8am she said 8.30 is the earliest time, when we went down for breakfast at 8.30 she moaned saying she was expecting us at 9.00 am. The bed had soft squeeky springs and the wi fi was vertually none existent. Not impressed

Nice hotel good location very informative owner. Very noisy seagulls all night long never stopped so no sleep windows not double glazed..nobody to blame just one of those things.

Handy position with friendly pub across the road f
The only slightly awkward bit was the parking and dropping off/picking up our bags but everything worked out fine in the end.

Had a lovely time at Endeavour. David he owner is very helpful and knows a lot about the area and gave us some very useful ideas about where to go! Breakfast was pre ordered the day before and freshly cooked when we went down by David! Lovely smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! Greek yogurt and cereal and fresh fruit if we wanted it! The hotel is across the road from a pub that also does lovely home cooked meals and there is another one down the hill also although we never ate there! The whole area is very picturesque and there are lots of places to go! Very steep hills so maybe not for people with mobility problems and no parking spaces in the village but you can leave your car in a car park at the top of the village. We had a lovely time and will definitely go back again!

Fantastic welcome to a great B&B. Dave was the perfect host. Perfect location. Lovely room with great view to cobbled street below. Amazing breakfast which kept me going for a days walking on the Cleveland Way! Definitely recommend.

A wonderful area with lots of quaint villages. Hotel was fabulous, would go back tomorrow given half a chance.Still feeling stuffed from the magnificent breakfasts!! Even in February plenty of places to eat out or have a coffee.

Simply Outstanding!!
This is an outstanding little B&B. The bedrooms are large and extremely comfortable with everything you need. David is a superb host and makes you feel right at home. Nothing is too much trouble for him and his breakfasts are second to none. The village itself is amazing, very picturesque, friendly and safe. All the locals pull together and help each other and will do anything for anyone. Dottys tea rooms next door is a must to visit too. Her scones (fruit and cheese ones) are to die for. We had an amazing couple of nights and would recommend this place to anyone. Such a delightful little find. Thanks to David for his excellent hospitality, am sure we’ll be back!

If you want a quiet weekend away....
My wife and I have just enjoyed a delightfully relaxing weekend in Staithes. The owner, david, provided plenty of local information when we arrived and provides excellent accommodation in a well appointed B&B where nothing is too much trouble. Outstanding selection available for breakfast, I can heartily recommend the kippers! We ate out at The George, almost directly opposite The Endeavour, they have a good selection of standard pub fare with portion sizes well above average, at a very reasonable price. They know how to sear a steak properly, try one! We walked from Staithes to Runswick Bay (and back) along the Cleveland Way, easy enough route although a little muddy, but It is January... Thoroughly enjoyable route but there are others if you fancy something shorter. There's little to no mobile signal in the area, although there is Wi-Fi in the rooms it's weaker the higher you are, but this can be a good thing!
