Good Lodge!
It's a comfort room and so nice! But when I tried to power on AC for heating, it was not working well. But as a few minutes later, it was working well. I like the room and good breakfast which I didn't expect. Also the view of outside is pretty good!

Cozy place itself!
Very kind owners! even though we were too late when we arrived at the cottage, they welcomed us so kindly. The cottage is cozy itself with wonderful scenery. One problem that I feel a bit inconvenient is unconnected 3g or 4g mobile phone, but the cottage offers wifi(a bit slow, but it meant to me a lot.)

Beautifully decorated cabins tucked away in the rolling Green hills of awahnee. Perfect home base for lots of day trips to Yosemite and neighboring areas. We went fishing down the road, didn't catch anything but enjoyed the scenery. Would love to come back for another longer stay

We had a great and peaceful time during our Yosemite gateway. This place is fairly close, about 30 min from the closest entrance and one hour from the pretty route. The grounds of this cottages are beautiful and the place is well equipped.

Loved the calm, restful cottage. This is our second time coming to Country Cottage and it did not disappoint. We were able to cook and rest. The fireplace worked well. They have sitting areas outside and around the cottage. Staff is attentive and responsive to needs. Will stay here again! Highly recommend!

Nice experience. Very nice hospitable staff. Staff attentive to needs. Came to help with issues with internet connectivity. We weren’t able to get the propane chimney on, however the cottage has heating and it worked well. Will come again.

Our family opted for a trip instead of presents for Christmas this year, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The staff was nice, and the property was beautiful. We'll be returning at some point in the future

The right choice.
Only had one night after a late job nearby. Staff was very accommodating for our very late arrival. The place was cozy, cabin like and very inviting. We sat outside on the deck looking at the stars drinking a glass of wine and were so happy we chose this cute cottage over a hotel. In the morning we were in awe how beautiful the area was. We will be back to hike the trail next time.

When I plan a trip I splurge on one special stay over the other places we are traveling to. This was our most expensive stay yet it turned out to disappoint. We were not told that they were having issues with their well and the water was unsafe to drink. For that reason we were not willing to risk showers or other water uses. Also the refrigerator didn’t work and the AC was making a loud noise so we ended turning it off so we could sleep. Although the staff tried to help it fell well short of a partial refund I felt we were due.

Sorry to hear that you have concerns about the well water. It is safe to drink as long as you boil it first. It has no any safety concerns for using on shower or cooking. I will let the innkeepers check the refrigerator.

Nice clean property, but cooker old, and broke while we were there. Internet ok. Quite a way from restaurants, so owner needs to upgrade cooker!

KID FREE ZONE
My husband and I enjoyed a nice quite kid-free getaway at Homestead Cottages. It's absolutely perfect for a completely disconnected time from your daily life. The only drawback was the mattress was a bit too firm for my liking (and back issues) so I had to sleep on the much more comfortable couch. I will say I was thankful for that couch and falling asleep with the fireplace going. Also, the coffee pot didn't work but that wasn't a bother since Starbucks isn't too far away. Overall, we absolutely loved it. I wish I could say we'd stay again but my husband and I like to sleep in the same bed so that may be the thing that prevents a return.

Beautiful place to relax! ❤️
Our family stay at the cottages was very restful and relaxing, they have beautiful trails for hiking. It's just all in all a lovely property. The property doesn't have cell service but the Wi-Fi works just fine for making phone calls. The only problem we had was the water, it was well water and it was fine to cook with, but it tasted nasty to drink. We went to the gas station 5 minutes up the road and they had gallons and bottles of water. we brought food so we could cook in the cottage and I was surprised by the amount of utensils available to me. it was very nice to not have to go out for every meal while on vacation. I would definitely stay there again.

The location is superb and gives you what you expect from such place - quietness. Overall I would highly recommend Homestead to everyone travelling to Yosemite and wants to stay for more days.

The property is located in a very quiet area, only about 15 minutes from town. The property is somewhat run down without much in the way of amenities other than just relaxing. There was no TV in the rooms other than Amazon prime, no access to local or national stations. There was no internet; need to get this. The water was not good, although apparently safe. Water tasted terrible. There was no one in the office to check in, apparently staff shortages. The room was clean and cute. Value was average, perhaps too expensive for the level of service and amenities. For guests who really want to get away from most all normal amenities and want seclusion, this is the place.

What a beautiful place and a lovely stay we had. The inn keepers were so friendly and genuinely caring and sweet people. The stay was wonderful but those two are the reason we will be back, true hospitality is hard to find and I really appreciated them going above and beyond to make our short stay so special. Can’t recommend high enough, especially for the price range, was one of the best experiences we’ve had on the road.

Beautiful property. Immaculate cottages. Rachel and Gary were wonderful! I had an unexpected guest at the last minute and they did their best to accommodate me!

I love staying here. Was somewhat off the road but peaceful, quiet and lovely. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Equipments in the kitchen is somewhat old but everything is in there so you can cook:) we enjoyed a lot! Thanks
