We had a pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and helping, foods were delicious (especially the Italian restaurant which was included in all inclusive package - worth making reservation the day before), rooms were clean and managed frequently. The only bad side was the gift shop where I tried to buy a scarf of which the clerk did not know its price and asked me to come back next day to find out price...Oh, another thing : the pool was filled with salty water which we did not really appreciate. I think I could go back there for another family holiday trip.

Tromperie et malhonnêteté
Nous avions réservé un séjour de 9 nuits all inclusive à l’hotel La Gemma Dell’est pour 5617,98€. Dès notre arrivée à l’hotel on nous dit que nous avons réservé juste à côté à l’hotel RIU PALACE totalement incomparable à ce que nous avions réservé,absolument rien à voir par rapport à la GEMMA un monde considérable dans tout les endroits piscine, restauration, plage et en perpétuel travaux avec marteaux piqueurs du matin au soir. Au bout de 4 nuits ils nous ont changé de chambre car il devait continuer leur travaux nous avions 2 heures pour le faire en plein après-midi Nous avons du rester une nuit et une journée supplémentaire dû au problèmes de transport aérien (COVID 19) cette journée nous avons du la payer ce qui était tout à fait normal mais pour vous donner un ordre d’idee celle-ci nous a été facturée 269 US dollars bien loin comme vous pouvez le voir du prix des prestations de l’hotel LA GEMMA Nous avons été trompés et nous nous posons aujourd’hui des questions sur une procédure à suivre contre Hôtels.com

Room and bathroom slightly tired ( refurb coming soon as hotel been bought by RIU.) Gardens and grounds superbly maintained. Food choices cater for everyone. Staff v friendly but limited English. Beach superb.

One of the best beaches in the world. Grounds are well maintained, the staff is friendly, and Wi-Fi coverage is excellent. However, the central sitting areas in each bungalow are not air conditioned and so everything in there is rotting and smells so. The rooms don't look like the pictures and the furnishings are old and worn out. All of these shortcomings are easily correctable and a room overhaul is planned.

Bel hôtel avec un très bel emplacement . Nourriture bas de gamme et surtout aucun respect de la chaîne du froid ce qui m’a valu d’être tres malade et ce pendant deux jours. Annulation d’une visite programmée bien avant mon départ. Maigre compensation proposée par le management de l’hôtel : un massage de 30 min !!!! Et ce parce que j’ai vraiment plus qu’insister. Aucune empathie aucune volonté de compenser le plus que désagrément !!!

Mysigt hotel på lugn och fin strand. Överlag mycket trevlig personal, speciellt Omar vid poolen, Edna i restaurangen och all personal vi träffade i receptionen. God buffé, men tyvärr blev sonen matförgiftad. Väldigt god mat på Sea breeze.

Terrible check in service but Nice resort
We arrived in the afternoon from Arusha due to flight cancellation. Upon arrival at 16:30 we asked about where to eat and were told about pizza at the Tropical bar. After checking into the room that had to reorganized by the maid to twin beds we headed towards the trophical bar for Food, but they closed at 17:00! Even though the list from the reception showed opening hours until 18:00! We were told to og to the lobby bar but they didnt serve food. After a long dispute With the management we finally got a bite around 1845! Not good for an all-inclusive resort that cant provide food for their guests if they arrive between 17- 19 !

Noi italiani siamo i mafiosi? In questa struttura hai i servizi CHE GIÁ HAI PAHATO solo se LASCI LA MANCIA!!! Il personale ( non tutto ) al bar servono prima i clienti che ti lasciano la mancia e poi gli altri, i lettini in spiaggia che giá hai pagato te li tengono solo se lasci la mancia! Tutto il personale del villaggio vende le escursioni e quindi tu non puoi stare tranquillo che chi ti sta servendo il caffè o chi ti sta portando con la macchinina del villaggio per spostarti da una parte all’altra nel mentre TI STA VENENDO QUALCOSA! CILIEGINA SULLA TORTA PRENOTO LA STRUTTURA CON TANTO DI “CONTRATTO” SU COSA DA LA STRUTTURA E DEI 4 RISTORANTI APERTI 2 ERANO CHIUSI E OVVIAMENTE HANNO FATTO FINTA DI NON CAPIRE CON TANTO DI MAIL DI CONFERMA DELLA PRENOTAZIONE DOVE DICEVA 4 RISTORANTI: la loro risposta : Hakuna Matata! Tanto sei li ormai non puoi più tornare in dietro!

Vi har varit i november. Allt var fantastiskt. Stranden var nästan som på Maldiverna. Maten var mycket bra. Snorkling på området. Vi är tacksamma att vi träffade på stranden en rese försäljare som heter Ali. Vi reste med honom på olika ställe i Zanzibar. Varit på de vackraste och spännande platser. Ali är punktlig, har bästa priser i jämförelse med andra och ge mycket information om landet och deras kultur. Han körde oss också till flygplatsen. Vädret var perfekt fast enligt prognosen skulle det regna varje dag. Kvälls musik var underbart. Det ända animation Tim var helt oengagerat i sitt jobb. Det ända minus i jämförelse med Dominikaner eller Maldiverna

Precis hemkommen efter en fantastisk vecka på Zanzibar och Hotel Gemma del est. Inte mycket barnfamiljer men oväntat familjvänligt ändå. Mycket trevlig och serviceminded personal, dock går ju allt rätt långsamt enligt ”hakuna matata”, men det får man anpassa sig till när man är på semester. Funktionella och rena rum, bra ac. Oväntat bra mat, och vin. All inklusive rekommenderas. Mycket bra pool, men stor grund del, som ligger nära havet så man kan ligga och titta ut över båda.

Paradisiaque
La plage paradisiaque dans laquelle on peut se baigner toute la journée. Le personnel attentionné et à notre service. La nourriture était plutôt bonne au restaurant principal et variee les restaurants à la carte pas extraordinaire celui sur piloti à faire car l'endroit est magnifique. Le seul point négatif a été l'inconfort de la literie (impossible de dormir et mal au dos pendant 2 jours) qui ne correspond pas à celle d'un hôtel de ce standing.

Beautiful beach
Beautiful gardens and comfortable rooms. The restaurant choices were great and the all inclusive package was exactly what we needed. The best part is the beach - the pool was nothing special but it’s no wonder when there’s a crystal clear, clean beach right at the hotel. I’d stay here again without hesitation.

Wir haben hier ein paar Tage nach unserer Safari verbracht. Die Anlage ist weitläufig und sehr gut gepflegt. Es waren einige Gäste da, jedoch hat es zu keiner wir voll gewirkt. Zimmer waren sauber, schön und geräumig. Das Essen war lecker und abwechslungsreich. Einmal in der Woche gibt es einen afrikanischen Abend mit einheimischen Spezialitäten. Das Hotel hat einen schönen Privatstrand, wobei man dort von Masais beobachtet wird die nur darauf warten etwas zu verkaufen. Insgesamt haben wir uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und würden wieder kommen. Seit Juli hat das Hotel einen neuer Besitzer, es bleibt zu hoffen dass es weiterhin so gut bleibt!

Beautiful location
Beautiful location & gardens around the hotel are excellent. The bathroom needed an update in the room and very small. We also found toilets near the evening main bar not clean and definitely in need of update. Staff were very good but the fact it is 5 star quite shocked you could not have all cocktails. Some you had to pay extra.

Struttura immersa in un giardino bellissimo . Lo staff cordiale e sempre sorridente. Camera molto carina solo il bagno un po’ datato. Buffet ampio e sempre vario . La spiaggia molto bella e curata . Resort davvero consigliato!

La struttura è situata in un posto meraviglioso, sul tratto più bello della costa a Nord est. L'unica piccola pecca è che ci sono stanze ristrutturate e altre no. Noi avevamo due camere delux con posizione eccezionale ma sicuramente datate e tenute poco bene. Nel complesso però è tutto cosi bello che la camera è passata un pò in secondo piano...

Le personnel est efficace et très gentil. Les chambres auraient besoin d’un certain rafraîchissement. L’emplacement est fantastique.
