위치가 일단 굉장히 좋습니다 야시장도 가깝고 주변에 먹을곳도 많고 바다도 바로에요

2개 방을 빌렸었는데, 한 방은 매우 깨끗했으나 나머지 방은 화장실에서 냄새가 났다고 했음. 하지만 그 모든 것을 상쇄할 만큼 위치가 좋다.

Lovely property right on the beach. Centrally located in Stone Town which made it very walkable. One thing to note, it is a dry resort. There is no alcohol available. I would recommend staying here.

Enjoyed our stay in Stone town at the Tembo for a few days after our safari trip. Close to the airport and walking distance to all the sites. On the waterfront. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A historical property on the beach and easy walking around Stonetown. Close to the fancier places if you want some different dinner choices. Stone town itself needs some love and investment in restoration and preservation of its history. Staff were helpful and nice. AC in the room was a lifesaver for someone unused to the heat. Room was spacious.

Lovely heritage hotel in centre of Stone Town. Walkable for all the sights but being in the middle of things does mean that it starts to get noisier from around 6-7am as people start to go about their business. Staff were lovely and pools were also good. Strictly no alcohol in this hotel, in case that makes a difference to people.

I loved the architecture of Tembo House, the staff and convenient location. Stone Town is busy but at night it is quiet and not a problem for sleeping. The breakfast is great and being right by the beach and having a designated place to lay out is a huge plus. I stayed in the Apartments across the street on the top floor and honestly loved it! These are old buildings so there is no lift/elevator, so someone can help you carry your luggage if necessary. The room was HUGE and I had a little balcony to see the city which was very cute. I did have to kill a couple mosquitos but I think that’s just part of the weather I was experiencing. Putting on the A/C/fan prevented bites though. Definitely a great choice if you want a central spot in Stone Town that is easy to find, as well.

We stayed three nights in Stone Town at Tembo before moving onto the beaches. It's a great location to explore the city and to take tours from, right near the old town and beach, safe and clean, friendly staff and good breakfast with plenty of options.

The food here was amazing!! Buffet breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Not your typical boring inclusive breakfast. This had local favorites full of flavor. The staff are all lovely and and welcoming. Pool areas were clean and the building is full of character. Loved it!

Hotel muy viejo con instalaciones deterioradas. El aire acondicionado no funcionaba, la habitacion que nos dieron estaba a una cuadra de la recepcion. Nos dieron una habitacion en tercer piso y no tiene elevador. El desayuno es bueno y y la ubicacion frente al mar es excelente. Definitivamente no volveria.

Good hotel but the spice farm visit problem
The restaurant was good enough, we enjoyed the food both in breakfast and dinner. Initially they gave a room near to the pool but we wanted to get another room as it did not give us a good feeling, later we were given a room in 2nd floor. We would go to Nungwi from this hotel and I wanted them to arrange us first Spice farm visit and then transfer to Nungwi. We were informed that we would go to Kidichi Spice Farm first and we would be expected to give tip to our guide. We noticed that the taxi of the hotel took us to the Big Body with Tatata Spice Farm although the driver claimed that this is the same farm. First a guide greeted us, later co-guide joined us, finally the third guy who climbs the coconut tree was our third guide. So, we were expected to pay tip to these three guys. Also, we were shown some farm-made parfumme and we bought 2 small bottles. Later, we were taken to tropic fruit taste location where we were expected to tip to this person at the end. I did not like this farm because of these tip expectactions, also we were not taken to Kidichi. I have the taxi coupon showing this farm visit and transfer. I don't know whether the taxi driver took us to a different farm for personal benefits or not. However, you do not expect such things if you arrange it from the hotel. This was the problem I had in this stay. Be careful about the spice farm visits, bring changes, I did not have small changes, I only had the largest banknote given by the exchange office.

Mycket fint och prisvärt Hotel. Bästa läget, direkt på stranden. Enda hotellet med egna solstolar på stranden. Gamla stan, Stone Town på andra sidan, nära till alla smala gränder och sevärdheter, restauranger. All personal glad och hjälpsam AC fungerade dåligt i vårt rum och vattnet hade ofta dåligt tryck.

The Hotel is gorgeous and the staff are very courteous and friendly. Overall a very pleasant stay and would come back. Make sure to get to breakfast a bit earlier in the day as it is a very popular place during high season.

The staff were the best part, always friendly and eager to please, however this old, outdated hotel needs a facelift and investment. The pool is great, however there is no privacy. The 'sea view' room showed little view of the sea. The beach water is not clean for swimming. The location and proximity to shops and restaurants was good. Our television never worked, Internet is sketchy, power often goes out and air conditioning is unreliable. The restaurant is not preferred. There are nearby hotels with good food. The furniture and original Tembo House themes need renovations and updating.

Nice hotel experience with beachfront, great food with authentic Swahili Zanzibar theme throughout. Close to all the major attractions in Stone town.

I liked the location of the Tembo, but I felt the hotel was below average considering the rate that we paid. We had issues with a leaky shower, construction outside of our shower window, and despite booking months prior, we were given a room on the ground floor with no view. I would rate this hotel 5/10.

Convenient location. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The chairs on the beach need the cushions cleaned. TV works but very poor quality picture. In spite of several attempts to get service, no one assisted. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were ok, staff cooking eggs and head waiter were great. We would recommend Tembo Hotel.
