It came with everything a person needs for an affordable price. Shampoo soap towels private showers sheets pillow and privacy many hotels dont even have these things. For the price id say 10/10"

" The property is effectively brand new so everything is in good condition. There were a couple of negative things with the building one was the flooring on the ground and first floors were basically smoothed concrete with settling cracks visible and in the restaurant the entrance to the kitchen was grubby as dirt had become ingrained into the concrete, the other negative was the heat in the communal corridors. "My boyfriend and I stayed at Pocket for several days while visiting Kyoto. It is located in such a convenient area (walkable distance to Nishiki and transit). The property itself is clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful! It is definitely worth staying here for the price! The only complaint I have come from the other foreigners/tourists. Please be respectful of the space especially when maintaining cleanliness as this is a shared space. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend Pocket hotel! "

"This is in a prime area of Kyoto, but the beds are a bit stiff."

"Facility's shared bathing area is very clean, had a passcode for the female bath so it felt fairly safe. Free laundry machines are available but the drier is not very good so it took very long for all my clothes to dry. One of the front desk lady was a bit cold when we arrive to store our luggage. The hotel is located in a smaller alley, but overall the location is convenient as it is within walking distance to the Kyoto station. "

""In total, it was not bad. This was the first time that I stayed at a hostel. For me, washing dishes was annoying. Besides, it could be noisy in the morning or late at night; you can hear everything, which is why I was using my earplugs all the time. The staff were nice, but it was still very exhausting that they couldn't speak English."

"Hotel was clean, staff were friendly & helpful, hotel had unique design, with the hotel located only 10 minutes by foot from Nishiki market and the main strip, with the train station close by & nice scenic views of the river just round the corner, with a 7/11 just under the hotel. Overall it has so many good aspects that I would highly recommend."
