"Booked Empress for my stay in chiang Mai, property was closed, was accommodated at Empress Premier, and my room type upgraded Check in was efficient, then handed a welcome package consisting of evian (1.5 ltr) fruit juice, nuts, cookies and chocolate. "Upon arrival to the property, the building itself is cozy and not hard to find. There are no stairs which we weren’t aware of. The ac controller wasn’t working so they fixed it for me. The toilette had no shower do so when you shower water is all over the place making it hard to use the restroom afterwards. They don’t give you much toiletries. "Really good place to stay if you are always out exploring Chiang Mai. Near a lot variety of affordable and expensive food. Near massage places, bars, shopping. Convenient for Tour pick ups. There is a 7-11 just downstairs and pharmacy next door. It doesn’t have breakfast but it is near so much food including MCD. "

"As a solo traveller, Tri Gong was perfect. The location is ideal as it’s within the old city and close to everything. It is only a 2 star and it is basic, but has everything you need. The hotel can do with an update but that didn’t bother me. I just used the place to sleep and store my stuff. The staff at the reception were polite and there were no problems when checking in and out. "

"When we arrived it was difficult to find anyone. It certainty wasn't a hotel, rather a very basic hostel, and the inside had painted concrete floors. Not like the photos on hotels.com. I found Boyd who was friendly, but said "we stopped using hotels.com months ago as they sold the rooms too cheap. Ask them for a refund and pay me cash, but we don't have rooms like the photos, I show you on my motorbike". He showed me another building with basic bunk beds and shared bathroom. "Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room comfortable. Had welcome pack which was lovely and they thought of everything that could be needed for a comfortable stay I was very impressed. The room was quiet, air conditioning good. Bed very comfortable had good night sleep. Shower very good. Location was good, accessible to attractions and restaurants in the vicinity.
