"We were in room 4 ,the room above was was very noisy with creaking floor boards ,which affected our sleep as they kept getting up in night. Showers and toilets were noisy when In use and workmen outside started at 8ish on roof. Room itself was a good size and very clean. Beds were comfortable, shower was good. Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good. Just noisy which we appreciate can't always be regulated,as it depends who stays. "

And there were a couple problems in our room (the only outlet in the bathroom didn’t work, the WiFi was a bit sporadic, and the shower hose leaked). "I loved the old artistic decoration and flowers growing in backyard. The Pub served great food. Staff were exceptionally friendly and nice hospitality. What i did not realize I was too old for carrying my luggage on narrow steps; going out of room to bathroom or showering. I am done with college dorm lifestyle for my own safety of a possible fall downwards with my big feet on narrow steps. Sorry!"

"I just spent a really comfortable stay at Flint Cottage. The cottage is beautifully presented, clean with all the home comforts you would want. Breakfast was fabulous and at a reasonable price."

"We had an absolutely lovely stay at Orchard House. Tiggy and Pete were very welcoming and very tolerant of the five of us in our 20s getting ready for a wedding reception! We stayed in the family room which was lovely and light with plenty of skylights. The little touches like biscuits and chocolates really made us feel welcome. I have no issue with the small bathroom, however a bathroom mat outside the shower would be preferred also to prevent accidental slipping from water splash. I would book again on my future visit."

"We spent 2 nights at this property. The location is less than 10 min walk from the Elizabeth line, which makes it really convenient. Room was clean and staff was very accommodating too. Definitely recommended."

"This is a house on a residential street offering rooms for rent. I arrived at the property and called the number on the front door. The respondent was not very customer friendly and had me waiting around for 3 hours. I was finally given a key but no code to lock the room until I called again the next day. The property itself is pretty run down, has very thin walls, has a lingering smell of food in the air and has no daily cleaning service. I would only recommend if you desperately need a room...

"We had a lovely stay at Little Barham that we were staying at for a family party and trip to Colchester Zoo. It was a super comfortable bed, lovely setup with the zed bed for our son, lovely tea/coffee facilities and fantastic bathroom. The breakfast was amazing with eggs from the chickens laid that morning. They’re such a lovely couple running it and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs which we are hugely grateful for. "

"This is a superb setting for Luton airport customers. You are literally in the last bed before the runway. This means it isn't quiet when the planes fly over, but it is superbly comfortable and the hosts go the extra mile with small but winning touches including the ready when you are breakfast for those travelling at odd times. Great stay, but bring your ear plus if you want to pretend you are not staying near the airport."
