"So, we chose this because it had really great reviews from about 4 people, but I’m not sure why! It is called a ‘resort’ but it’s not. It’s a dated Korean pension that had a tiny pool by a pizza restaurant. We arrived and the female owner was just really rude to us for most of our stay, so we just felt like we were constantly tiptoeing around and trying to avoid her. I don’t think she liked westerners. The rooms were quite run down and not that clean and we didn’t even have any drinking...

"We stayed at Jeju Igloo for 3 nights, the hosts were absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough to help us. When we arrived, they gave us some cold homemade rice drink and showed us the igloo. They gave us a local map and explained all the bus routes, where the nearest stops were etc. When we were ready to go out an explore, they drove us to Handeok beach and showed us where everything was and how to get the bus back (or elsewhere). "This place is very difficult to find. The phone number on hotels.com is not registered with the address, so it will be difficult to locate even when using GPS. By public bus, I think the bus only operates twice a day and probably does not operate on Sundays. it is just a waste that such a wonderful experience was hampered by the difficulty to look for the location. "
