Uji is a great little town to pick up green tea, and the best green tea ice cream I've ever had. There is shop after shop of green tea, and apparently they are one of the biggest tea producers in Japan.
When in Rokujizō and the surrounding area, you'll want to check out sights like Daigo-ji Temple or Fushimi Castle and hop on the metro to see more the city at JR Rokujizo Station or Rokujizo Station.
Check out the monuments, gardens, and river views while spending some time in Utoro. Though there might not be many attractions in the neighborhood, you won't need to go far to find top spots like Aeon Mall Kumiyama or Byodo-in Temple.
