Rough waves, breaks and white water close to the beach makes for a ton of sand in your suit.

I visited ZUMA beach in Malibu and some of the surrounding businesses. As usual ZUMA was a great R&R stop (for me). Though there typically can be a lot of people - many families and teens - the whole shore faces the vast ocean front. I enjoyed walking and jogging in the shallow waves and a little time in the waves. This time, I saw rock climbers on Point Dume and jumping dolphins. BTW: The fees to park differ (I heard from $3.00-$15.00) depending on when one arrives; some people park along the Pacific Coast Highway. (I like to support this park though, because of its restrooms, lifeguards, and relatively clean sandy beach).
