The hotel is a gem -older but well maintained with a fascinating history. The walled gardens provided a lovely respite in the afternoons. Breakfasts were well prepared and served. Our best stay in the country!"

"What an absolutely charming and amazing place. Everything was perfect. The hotel manager and all of the staff were so gracious, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. This is a real gem. We actually tried to extend our stay even though we would have been unable to cancel our next nights accommodations at a different hotel and would have had to eat the cost of that other room. We truly did not want to leave but unfortunately they were all booked up. Would definitely return. "

"Lovely hotel although a little dated . Floors throughout the hotel were very creaky. Our room was clean and well appointed. The staff were all great, breakfast was prepared for us and was adequate."
