Try to do it on a weekday, the road is closed on weekends and the parking lot was full at 9am

First weekend in April, passage is not completely cleared and had to walk from the Tree Museum. With melting snow, socks got wet. Wear a snow proof shoes to stay dry. Worth all the trouble to go to the top and view the gorgeous 360 degree views.

Beautiful panoramic views. Those in group that are uncomfortable with heights may not enjoy this. Otherwise worth every step.

This feature was not called out particularly in the park literature, and we did it as an afterthought. Turned out to be a highlight of our day. Don't go if you don't like heights, though.
