She runs a relaxing and casual property, and because of its small size, it is easy for her to communicate with and assist visitors - which is exactly what she does! "お宿から降りてすぐの日の出浜で波の音を聴きながらゆっくり過ごしました。 お宿近くの岡田港の周辺は食事ができるところが元町港に比べて少ないようですが、舟吉さんで2食付き、港の施設のレストランで昼食を取れるので特に問題ありませんでした。私は食べる機会がありませんでしたが近くにはパン屋さんなどもあるようです。 お宿は清潔でご飯も美味しく、ご主人方もとても親切にしてくださいました。その日のスケジュールの相談や荷物預かりなど、心配事を相談すると真摯にお答えくださいます。お宿は山にも近いのですが部屋の窓をしっかり閉めれば虫なども問題なかったです。(もし万が一出たとしてもご主人にお願いすればすぐに対処してくださいます) 個人的な話ですが、初めての女一人旅でこんなに素敵なお宿に宿泊出来たことはとても幸いでした。伊豆大島の一人旅で宿にお悩みの方は是非、ゲストハウス舟吉さんを検討なさってみてください！"

"Hale Kai is a well designed guest house with the combination of Traditional Japanese style and Hawaiian style! It was really comfortable and relaxed during our stay. The owner are hospitalized and extremely friendly. Everything we need were prepared in the guest house. Moreover, the location is perfect because it is only a 5 mins walk from the Motomachi port and most of the souvenir shops, restaurants,and hot spring places can be access within 10 mins walk!! Highly recommended!!"

"Be anywhere outside of your room and you'd be cold within minutes, unfortunately. I personally also found the downstairs bathroom and washroom to be of a unpleasant design (being even colder with weird staircase shape) On the plus side, the quarter is still confortable and comes with towels at least. "

"近くの店やバス停まで歩くにはちょっと大変な距離がある田舎の宿。夕食に波浮港の港鮨さんを予約していることを言ったら、送迎を快く引き受けてくださいました。チェックイン時に朝食を追加して、朝食には烏骨鶏の玉子焼き出され美味しかった。 建物の周囲には樹木が立ち並び、とっても静か。ちょっと隣の客室の物音が気になる。 しまぽ通貨を強く勧められた。購入や支払いに多少時間がかかったが、嫌な顔をされず、お得に使えて良かった。 "
