"Nice and so quiet "

"The property is pretty and convenient to a beach. The room and the property itself was clean. The share shelves were a nice touch. The facility is very primitive, meaning there is NO A/C, no staff onsite and no housekeeping. None of these things are bad if it's what you're expecting; however, this listing on Expedia does not mention any of these things, so it was a great disappointment to arrive and find out about the lack of AC and housekeeping. "This is an exceptionally beautiful Villa. Our room had a beautiful deck and the walls were covered with beautiful paintings from the Villa's proprietor and a kitchen. We loved using the bikes to get to Vaitape for groceries, and to get to the Matira beach for snorkeling, and to circumambulate the island. Valerie, the hotel host, helped us retrieve a laptop from another island and enrolled us in a snorkeling tour, for which we were grateful!"

"This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. We left thinking we would like to stay again, perhaps stay two nights. Lovely hosts. "

"This is more of a quiet area and has way more plants than the other hotels which made me feel more relaxed. We only called the hotel twice and maintenance came super fast and fixed everything. Loved how there is 2 pools, one big main one and one smaller with a hot tub. There’s a cafe on the beach side that is 10000/10 best spot to eat. I would def recommend, the room was super spacious as well, very private balcony "
