“Fabulous find! This boutique style hotel only opened a couple months ago and they’ve done everything just right! We loved our stay here, the rooms are contemporary yet still with classic touches of the local styles, they are spacious and clean, and the hotel is in such a great position to explore the fort area. “There are 3 hotels in the Somerset group. This is away from the beach. Its up a very steep narrow concrete road. Its dark in the night and only 1 vehicle can go up or down this dark narrow road. The hotel staff are really nice. The rooms are a bit dated. The breakfast buffet was a joke as compared to hotels we have stayed in colombo. There was no buffet. Just a plate of fruit and eggs if you asked. Better stay is closer to the beach and somerset has a hotel right on tne beach”
