“Nice place, right time of the year. Cabin and hot tub were excellent. The shared pool leaves a little to be desired for young kids. Especially those who may not be confident in the water. I would go back and stay in Lodge 15 Langsdale again. Short trips in the car gave great views of the area and loads to do. ”

“Just returned from a fantastic stay at Chestnut Villa. The room was simply beautiful, spacious, in great condition and spotlessly clean. It had great amenities, also. Everything you could need was provided in the room. The area itself was stunning and our view was exceptional. I think any of the rooms in the house would have a fantastic view as the house was surrounded by beautiful peaks and the gorgeous Herdwick sheep - just a perfect vista to wake up to early morning. “We went as a family of 4 and our stay was great. No problem at all except we got a bit cold at night, but that’s it! Everything else was great. We got free parking just up the road courtesy of the b&b management and breakfast was also included, which wasn’t mentioned on the initial booking. So bonuses all round really!”

“Very pleasant small property. 5 mins walk from central Ambleside. Well equipped and warm. Perhaps a bit small for a family of 4 but great for two people. Nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. Only one parking space but a car park 4 mins walk down the hill. Would recommend.”
