Staff was excellent, immensely kind and I'm very grateful. Stains on the couch and carpet, we just covered the couch with a spare blanket though. Old dusty smell too, but that was tolerable. The bed and shower were very nice, as well as clean too. Good supply of toiletries available as well. Laundry that's available is very efficient and available 24/7. Accompanied by a gym with a TV to help pass the time while you wait. I work night shifts so I never got to enjoy the very early breakfasts that were served, but glad there was a 24 hour stand for beverages like hot chocolate available. Very abundant area for shopping and food, pleanty to visit around town.

Issues with check in, room smelled like smoke, issues with room keys. At one point someone’s dog had my son trapped in a corner getting barked at.

My sincerest apologizes for the issues you encountered during your recent stay at the Home2 Suites. All of our rooms are smoke free. It is awful when a previous guest does not obey the rules. My staff try's very hard to remove the odor the best they can. Sometimes it is very difficult to do so. Unfortunately, we are a pet friendly hotel and some guests do not know how to control their dogs the way they should. That must off been traumatic to your son. That is a terrible thing to happen to a child. Thank you for taking time out of your day to express your thoughts about your visit. I will be sharing them with housekeeping to make sure they are more aware of odors in the rooms.

The room wasn’t exactly clean. Found a few pieces of make-up about the room. It’s just ok. Leaves a lot to be desired at the front desk. The morning staff was chipper enough for the “to-go” breakfast shift but the check-in experience was greeted with someone whom either hated their job or their life in entirety. She barely looked up. No one was there when we came back down cuz our key didn’t work so we waited and waited. Then I finally called the front desk from the lobby phone and she came shuffling out of the back with zero urgency - only to give us another key that didn’t work. I understand everyone has bad days but when you’re in service/hospitality even the littlest bit goes a long way…rooms are in bad need of a facelift. Couches are stained and light fixtures hanging on by a thread…

Our stay was good. The only issue I had was there was a dirty washcloth left in the shower in one room upon arrival. I notified staff.

Comfort and convenience
Staying in town for Siena College parents weekend. Excellent stay. Comfortable and clean, nice fridge and good breakfast, easy to park and conveniently located.

My family really enjoyed staying at this hotel
This was really a nice hotel to stay in with my family. Some items like the waffle iron, the outside door key card pad and the TV did not always work. The bed and even the sofa bed was very comfortable to sleep in. I truly enjoyed that there was a microwave and a full refrigerator in the room, along with dishes to eat on. Overall, this was a very clean, very nice hotel with a decent continental breakfast and indoor pool.

Hotel was modern, but they need to shampoo the carpets in the rooms. Also, breakfast selection was pretty small and eggs (if you can ream them with tongs), are dry and tasteless.Also i stayed there a week and requested housekeeping at the front desk, and they never came. However, the hotel was modern and the rooms were large.

Bed bugs on bed skirt and wall.
The check was great. Kiara was amazing and so accommodating. I actually attempted to stay in 4 rooms before leaving and getting hotel across the street. Room after room, there was tracing of bed bugs. One room had a really bad smell, another had dog hair all over. They are a pet friendly hotel with residents that stay over a year at times. I was so tired and frustrated because it was a king drive,I had my 85 year old mom and what I put here through was heartbreaking. Each room had evidence of an infestation. I really wanted to love the hotel but I couldn’t and I only worked with you because the hotel worker kept trying to find a good room and was so nice to us.

The carpet in our room was dirty, the couch has stains on it, the curtain divider was ripped, and a lamp was broken. However the bathroom and kitchen were both very clean.

Booked and paid for a room for two nights. King sized bed for two of us. With a tub. Non smoking. Booked through expedia. The room we got was the smallest queen sized bed I've ever seen, wreaked of cigarette smoke and no tub. I have arthritis. For the average person, the tub isn't a deal breaker. For me, its needed. There was a small, full sized couch which was absolutley filthy. Stains on the floor. Garbage under the bed. They said they didnt have any other rooms. Once i called expedia to complain they found one. The staff was nice and apologetic. But still had to pay for an awful room. After a very long day. There are plenty of properties in Albany. Look around. Don't stay here.

The bathtub was a normal bathtub, not handicap accessible as requested. The tub required one to have to step over in order to get in. The bench attached to the wall was loose and coming out of the wall. It should have been a walk-in shower. The kitchen sink drain was clogged.
