“It is situated in tranquil village around the old monastery. Check in, Restaurant and Bar are in main Hotel Kloster Haydau in approx. 100m distance from The Old Post Station. Private parking in Poststation private yards normally possible. Very friendly staff. This was my second night spent here, first was Year ago. Price performance ratio is splendid, and only some 30kms away from Autobahns, You can have nice and peaceful stay in rural area. I'll definitely reserve a room again.”

“This was a very unique experience. The building was a former monastery from the 1100s. We stayed on one of the upper floors which had low-clearance, original beams. I’m 6’4” and had to duck a lot. Maybe that wouldn’t be too fun for an extended stay. It was nice to have a cathedral ceiling. I think this was only in a few rooms. Bed was typical German stiff and slightly uncomfortable. Breakfast buffet was one of the best of our trips so far. The Christmas market was only a 10 minute walk...

“Unbelievable experience!! Loved everything about this castle… if you want to stay in a 750+ year old castle with unbelievable staff, stay here! Restaurant was great, food amazing… Ano (not sure if I spelled it right) and his wife (and staff) were unbelievably accommodating. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the trip and money… can’t wait to come back!”
