The amenities were amazing. Very family oriented, my granddauters had a blast! You walk into seeing gorgeous western murals. The gift shop leaves you wanting everything! And then into the courtyard! Filled with greenery; trees, flowers, and plants throughout!! Swings and seating tucked away all around a gorgeous fountain with beautiful fish to watch. Games and activities for kids and adults! Breakfasts were good! And the cook nailed it each time! Absolutely amazing! We'll be back!

We made a quick overnight trip to Amarillo and didn’t want to spend too much on a hotel—but also didn’t want to stay somewhere too “budget.” I stumbled across Cactus Cove and was immediately drawn in by how charming it looked in the photos. At just $89 before taxes, it felt like a total bargain. The property offers a variety of amenities: a swimming pool, Boutique, putting green, corn hole, gym, and pickleball courts. We saw everything except the gym and pickleball area—maybe we missed them, or maybe they’re tucked away somewhere. Either way, we weren’t there long enough to use them. The overall vibe is very cute and cozy. You can tell it’s newly opened and still working through some minor kinks. Our room was clean and spacious and included a fridge and microwave, which was great. One thing to note—there are no phones in the rooms, so if you need anything, you’ll have to head to the front desk. This is a kid-friendly spot, which is great for families. That said, if you’re planning an adults-only getaway and hoping for peace and quiet, you might want to reconsider. Despite the branding and decor feeling geared more toward adults, there were quite a few kids running around—late at night and again early in the morning. It wasn’t a problem for us, but something to be aware of. Overall, the hotel is cute, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. For the price, we had a great stay and would consider coming back—especially once they’ve fully settled in.

This is a convenient location right off I40. But the exterior needs a good power wash around the front doors. We have stayed at this hotel twice in the lady 6 weeks, both times we had trouble getting the TV to work. The staff is friendly abd they try to be accommodating.

Staff was friendly. Pool was late opening for the day, restraunt closed at 9:45 instead of designated 10:30. Bathroom threshold was broken and came off. Bathroom door would not close. Bathroom shower head and faucet were very loose, faucet was held on by caulking. Pool was very dirty and had MULTIPLE clumps of hair in the water.

The blinds don’t shut all the way. The blinds are also cut around the door knob like some ghetto contractors installed them. Bathroom door doesn’t shut. Electrical outlets are loose and I was unable to use the ones by the bed for my charger. The pool was full of hair and thousands of paint chips from the cheap paint they tried using on the pool deck. The water in the pool was so cloudy that you couldn’t even see your feet.

You can tell that the hotel is either undergoing renovation or needs renovations. The inside of the hotel is absolutely adorable. Super cute I love the set up. Check in was easy and the staff was soooo friendly. But the rooms had very dated insides, the bathroom ceiling had the paint literally falling off. The faucet in the bathroom was barely working. It’s not terrible for a one night, passing through situation. Doors to the room are glass and only have curtains covering them. And our door looked like it was barely holding on. Outside of the hotel the front looks modern and updated, however, the back where you park looks…… suspicious. All in all, staff is wonderful and friendly, excellent customer service. I hope to stay there again and see the many update they will have. You can definitely tell the vision they’re going for, but they’re not quite there yet.

The actual condition of the rooms is significantly different from what is presented in the photos. The accommodations have not been updated as depicted on the website. The room had multiple safety concerns, and the overall quality was extremely poor—appearing unfinished and outdated, with furnishings and fixtures seemingly unchanged since the 1980s. If you have alternative options, I strongly recommend choosing another place to stay. I have several photos to support this review.

We stopped for one night on a family road trip (2 adults and 2 teens). The property is under renovation and the common areas have mostly been upgraded. The room we stayed in had been somewhat renovated but the carpet was old and stinky. The bathroom needed more attention and the light fixtures and fire suppression was covered in thick dusty. They didn’t have enough towels for our family of four. The staff was accommodating and gave us vouchers for a complimentary hot breakfast. The breakfast was better than expected but other than that this hotel left us underwhelmed and I am glad we only booked it for one night of our road trip. Our kids enjoyed the pool but there were ceiling tiles missing and, overall, the place needs more renovation completed before I would recommend anyone stay there.

Your kids will love it. If you’re choosing this place for them, go ahead and book. It’s affordable (although the breakfast prices are pretty silly — NO free breakfast!) If you’re a single adult and/or allergic to kids, look elsewhere. I’ve got nothing against the place, but if it weren’t for my kids enjoying the indoor pool and stuff, I’d definitely choose something else. There’s just nothing super special to recommend it for adult travelers. It’s more of a family fun zone (noisy and energetic) than any average hotel — and definitely not a romantic getaway.

They make it look nice on the outside. The rooms are as nice or worse than at super 8. No alarm clock or phone to call down. Opened the fridge to put in leftovers and found someone else's smelly food in there. Had to call using my cell phone and the front desk seemed surprised I cared to use the fridge. Bed sheets were still damp from the washer too. The lobby and atrium area is nice, but there's no water fountain or complimentary water for guests of the hotel! You must buy water bottles if you don't want to drink the tap water all night.

The room was beautifully renovated. The beds were very comfortable. It was quiet in our room, even though there is a bar/Restaurant down stairs. The property is still in the process of being renovated, but it was very beautiful & peaceful. The only problem we had was housekeeping letting herself into our room before checkout time at 11am. It was still a great stay! Would definitely stay there again

The property was semi clean, lots for the kids to do. One Elevator, the other was broken making the walk for my parents hard. They ran out of towels. Leaving us not enough to use to shower or for the pool. The free breakfast- no milk for cereals or syrup for waffles and that was 1 hr after breakfast opened. The staff was very lazy and nkt helpful at all.
