Excellent location, friendly staff, great price. 5-minute Uber or 20-min walk to Rainbow Road, a few more minutes’ walk to old downtown Amman. Will stay again!
Le Royal is a hotel whose best days are probably behind it, but it still has plenty of charm. The lobby is very grand, and the room had good character and felt comfortable. I didn’t need much assistance from staff, but when I did interact with them they were helpful and pleasant.
Minor downsides were small details like no bathrobes, and only one glass and one pair of slippers in the room. The spa area, however, was excellent and a real highlight. Breakfast was okay.
As long as you’re not expecting the best hotel in Amman, it’s a very good option. I wouldn’t consider it a modern Western 5-star hotel, but the price reflects that, so overall it’s fair value and I’d still give the stay a 5-star review.
The very friendly staff they made me feel at home beautiful view from 20th floor this year made very memorable time we will do it again soon thanks a lot.
Hotel is enormous and full of amenities. Shops, spa, swimming pool and everything you expect from a resort. The room - comfortable - seemed a bit runed down, bethrooms specially. But service is perfect. And good location.
MashAllah! Beautiful location. The staff is amazing. Excellent water pressure. Amazing customer service! I stayed here since it was closer to our hospital to give birth. I love this hotel and the staff. Beautiful and elegant!
The staff here are absolutely brilliant. Generally, everyone in Jordan is incredibly kind. I’m going back to the UK today and I am absolutely gutted. The staff are so quick and efficient. The hotel is clean and gorgeous from the inside and outside. There are spa facilities open, both mix and segregated. I will definitely be returning.
The staff will help with any queries but I would strongly recommend the following:
1. Uber for all local travel
2. Rent a cheap car from Enterprise for all longer distance travel - always carry passport and driving license with longer distances as police randomly stop you but they’re really lovely.
3. Get a Jordan pass if you’re definitely doing Petra, otherwise it’s pretty much the same costs. Jordan pass is easier but there are a couple of things you may have to spend £2-£3 pounds on such as sacred Churches etc. I would personally always get a Jordan pass.
4. I did the Amman sites and malls, Mount Nebo and Madaba, Petra and Wadi Rum, Lots Cave and Dead Sea and Cave of the 7 sleepers. I was only here for 7 days and if I could, I would’ve done Jaresh and Aqaba.
5. WiFi everywhere is brilliant but get yourself an eSIM. I bought one for 19 euros from Holafly for Jordan and the signal is brilliant. This gave me 5 days of unlimited data. It is expensive in the long run but for me, I was more than happy for fork out for it.
I swear, it’s amazing. The people are amazing. Especially the Palestinian Jordanians. Absolutely beautiful.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
I arrived at about 11 PM, so the hotel cafe was not open. Furthermore, there was nothing in the room fridge, i.e. the "minibar". So, I had to order from room service. I was surprised to find there was no wine listed on the menu. Coming from Kuwait I was looking forward to a glass of wine. On the phone, I asked room service if wine was available. He recommended that I get it from the minibar. I explained to him that there was nothing in the minibar. I resorted to ordering beer. I also ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad. Sadly what I got was a bowl of somewhat cut-up iceberg lettuce (instead of romaine) drowning in blue cheese dressing (instead of Ceasar)..I ate it anyway because I was so hungry but it really stood out as one of the worst meals of my life!
The location was a good for this visit but I do not plan a repeat.
On the bright side, the room was nice and was clean. I was able to figure out how to change the temperature to cool the room (though it was down to guesswork due to no labels explaining what to do). The maid was bright and cheery. The TV remote control stopped working and when I reported it the replacement came quickly. The hot water was excellent and the shower worked perfectly. I miss having a bathtub in a 5-star hotel but it seems bathtubs are generally disappearing.
One thing is needed: these days almost everyone is recharging electronic devices by USB connection. In a 5-star hotel, it would be good to provide at least one USB electronic outlet.
