Firstly, the staff were very friendly and very helpful - as good as anywhere. Hotel, itself, was a little run-down - room smelled musty and there were a few bits needing repair and someone had been smoking in a corridor. Value for money was - on balance - pretty good. The location was ideal for old Amsterdam, with Rokin metro just over the road and most other highlights within walking distance and excellent connection to the airport with only one change at Zuid station. So, great as a crash pad in the city (I was only there for the marathon, afterall) - but less so for a proper city break.

The room was clean & the cleaning staff was very good about coming through on a daily basis to ensure that the room was clean & tidy. The people at the front desk were friendly & helpful, providing advice on how to make my stay more comfortable & convenient, as well as the food options & attractions in the area. The hotel itself did not offer many amenities beyond a clean room & safe facilities overall. While it was a bit overpriced for the location & what you get, I've found that the price is very consistent for Amsterdam.

The only thing that was good about this hotel is the location and decent sized rooms. I was here for 2 nights and the worst was the bad internet and noise from the outside. If you’re going to be out all day and don’t care about internet speed or noise at night then this will be fine.

An absolute gem for travelers looking to maximize their time in the city! The location on Rokin is unbeatable—just a three-minute walk to Dam Square and incredibly close to local cafes and transport. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. While the rooms are cozy and basic, they are perfectly clean and comfortable. Incredible value for money!

Great location, but can be noisy at night if you’re facing the street. Rooms were a good size, but very run down and need of repairs. The toilet and toilet brush were filthy, and we didn’t have housekeeping on one of our days. Staff were very helpful. If you’re looking for cheap, and good location would probably still recommend

Great location - a basic hotel with clean rooms a short walk down from Dam square. No breakfast but Starbucks around the corner and cafes 5 mins walk in Spui - we used Cafe Hoppe which opens at 9.00. Very friendly and quick reception manager.

There are no fridges in the rooms, but the lobby lets you keep your stuff in theirs, same with the coffee. The room was nice, but small, and had lots of natural light. It was quiet and in a great location, near all the museums and the red light. Safe area and felt safe in the hotel.
