I liked where the location was, close enough to go shopping and eating, close enough to where my appointment was. I like the rooms, I would stay again and recommend.

We had 3 rooms reserved- 2 studio king rooms and 1 double queen. The double queen and one of the kings were fine. But the 2nd studio king given to us was actually an accessible 1-queen room. Immediately went back to the front desk to ask why and change rooms, and we were told the hotel was booked solid for the night, and that "in their system, that room is listed as a king." I pointed out that as the manager, he should know that the room is incorrectly marked as a king room, not an accessible queen, and therefore not give it to someone who has prepaid for a king room. He claimed not to know that this was the case with this room. It's not a big hotel, so that's ridiculous. Then my husband and I asked for a discount, just for the price difference between what we paid for and what we got. He said no, because "there was nothing he could do since we prepaid via Expedia." Mind you, this hotel is in a lousy location, no views, etc, and still charged us nearly $600 per room including taxes and fees for the night. There is no Towneplace on the planet that is worth that much money. All hotels in Alaska are overpriced, but this is crazy. Obviously, this hotel is putting 3rd party bookings in lousy rooms that are not what you paid for, and then claiming they can do nothing about it. So I called Expedia, and they handled giving us a coupon for another time. Totally unacceptable here. Feels like bait and switch happened. You've been warned.

Very nice staff. The place was very clean. Very comfortable beds. There was a microwave ,coffe maker,large refrigerator with freezer,pots,plates,and all kitchen utensils.

Hotel is in a nice location. Main lobby looks nice with all of their Christmas decorations. The main lobby and dining area are clean. Fitness center is clean and equipments are working. Pool is so cold, they said Heater wasn’t working. Hot tub/ jet spa is working but did have an excessive amount of salt. They need to run a salt test on that. Overall stay was pleasant because employees are so nice and helpful. There wasn’t a trash bag in the bathroom trash can so I asked the FD and they gave me what I needed. The server/cook was so nice as well. She made sure all products are refilled when emptied by guests.

The overall stay was okay for the price and amenities and customer service. You’re almost better off staying at a bed-and-breakfast. I was disappointed to find out that there was John continental breakfast, not even a welcome refreshment area for a glass of water, or maybe some hot tea. The elevators seemed old to say the least, and the ride was a bit bumpy. After calling the front desk to ask for a blanket, they told me I could come down and get one. Where is our last place that we stayed? Their housekeeper brought one up for us. I just think the small things to make it so much better!

Dear Tara,I am sorry but I am confused a little by your review. Our hotel is just now coming up on being 7 years old and we have not had any complaints on the elevators. We do serve breakfast every morning that is up to standards with Marriott for a TownePlace Suites. We also have coffee, water and tea in our lobby 24 hours a day. Rooms were clean and ready for us earlier than expected. Has a pool, hot tub, laundry and workout room. Breakfast everyday has a variety of hot and cold food, pastries and fruits. Front desk staff for the most part were great. Management was informed of the 1 desk staff that seemed to be blah about Alaska in general. We did have confusion on a parking fee, but once it was explained it made sense, but was refunded to us anyway. Pool was down for a couple hours upon arrival due to chemical imbalance, but was resolved quickly and correctly. We will likely stay here again when we visit next time.

A very dated property. Pool area paint was peeling. Each unit had different quantities of silverware, dishes and cookware. Not clean enough

The front desk lady had tried putting me and my kids in a room where there was people already in it. I went to front desk 3 times for her to move us to one with no one. Rude lady. I loved the place but no way I’m staying there again.

Location of property was perfect for us. Easy access to several areas we needed to be at. The staff was excellent! Some of the most friendly we've encountered. Although breakfast was repetitive, it was nice to have a hot option and not just brown-bagging. Several nice touches, like games available. Parking in the snowy conditions was frustrating. The lot did not get cleared until the day we were leaving. The room was small, but suited our needs and had more than we bargained for. However, heating/temperature control was terrible. The unit was extremely loud, the windows were not sealed and let a cold draft in so badly we could not open the curtains during the day. If the heating unit and sealing was better, would be a 5 star. We'd stay again.

A fence right outsiolde the window. Plus the window lock system is completely ineffective as people brealing in can simply lift the bar and move it and sneak in. Especially since the fans are so loud A preventetive would be to have two with a lock system Not electronic as malfunctions would occur. A two piece bar set up with a fog horn to prevent intruders

I didn't like the brown splatter on the inside of the lamp shade in the main room, or the adult toy package that was left in a drawer for my child to find.

Thin walls could hear upstairs talking. The heat was loud. Kitchen wasn’t that clean, had to clean it again. But enjoyed it anyway.

Never stay there again or use hotels.com again.
I accidentally booked an extra night, realized as soon as I pushed send literally while it was going to the next page. Contacted Hotels.com who had me going back and forth for an hour. They said hotel would not let me out of the last day of a 5 day trip even though it booked 2 mins prior and we should ask the hotel when we get there. Of course hotel said we had to go thru Hotels.com. Hate Hotelscom now as well as t his hotel. I have given Hotels.com hundreds of thousands of dollars in business over the last 15 years and I could not get help on this one trip. Equally mad at the hotel who would not accomodate for what was clearly a push of a button accident.

I had been to many Towneplace suites properties in USA but this this stands out in all aspects. Very upscale look, friendly staff. As a suggestion, please include bread and jam in your breakfast option.
