"Rooms are dated and small, but clean. Common spaces are updated and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed on an upper floor and it was very quiet. Also, a great view of the river, state park, and Mt Washington. The best thing about this hotel is location. Walk to almost any downtown destination, including stadiums. Short drive to other interesting places like the University of Pittsburgh. This is a great city and if you enjoy walking to see a city, this is a great place to stay. If you are just going to hang out in the hotel room, this may not be the ideal place for you. Breakfast was included with our room and was very good. Buffet on weekends is excellent. They will even make you an omelet upon request (included). If you bring a car, there is only valet parking at the hotel and it is pricey! But you have in and out privileges at any time. Otherwise there are nearby parking garages for less but the clock restarts every time you leave and return. So the end result may not be cheaper."
