"We showed up on the wrong date, we speak no Greek, the owner and staff, not expecting guests, spoke no English. The property owner and manager bent over backwards to accommodate us even though, we are pretty sure, they were just planning on a quiet night without guests. "As I arrived, dead tired by the heat, the owner was nowhere to be found and no one had ever heard of this place. The hotel had no reception and the owner had disconnected his cell phone. I was forced to scramble for alternative accommodations. To add insult to injury, I couldn’t get a refund. Avoid this!!!"

"This will be a long review. Bacchus is a hidden gem if you are planning to visit Olympia. It is located in a small village called Ancient Pisa, approximately 5km from the archeological site. Quaint little hotel and restaurant combined. The rooms have balconies that overlook miles of hills and olive plantations and NOTHING else. If you are craving some peace and solitude, this will be the place. Very good food in the restaurant with breakfast included. Very welcoming manager and his staff. The rooms are clean and well appointed with even a jacuzzi in the one we stayed in. If you are visiting in the peak of summer, Bacchus has a beautiful pool overlooking the hills! Will return in a heartbeat."
