“For what we paid, we were pleased with the hotel. The pool is ok, breakfast was really good, choice of American or Tican. Plenty of juice and coffee (you could have multiple cups) The room was ok, clean. Well equipped, it had some shelving to unpack onto, which lots of places don’t have. Big fridge in the common kitchen to use. We didn’t use the common kitchen apart from to use the fridge and kettle. Lots of wildlife about in the garden. It is next to a chicken farm though! “Breakfast was wonderful and fresh. staff were so friendly and helpful. They help set up excursions. The owner was so kind and helpful. He pointed out wildlife that you could see around the property. family friendly. It is a little bit away from the town but we liked being more in nature. the stars were so bright and the sunset was beautiful. I'd stay there again!”

With only 6 rooms, the experience was far below what was advertised and what the Expedia/Google listings led us to expect. Our room had an extremely loud creaking floor, which made it feel cheap and poorly maintained. It may be acceptable for some travelers, but for the price, it was not worth it and definitely not the upscale stay we were looking for. ”

“My family's stay at Nafre House over the winter holiday was wonderful. The bed and breakfast is a perfect location for anyone visiting the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and the surrounding area, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the staff were unfailingly gracious and helpful, in both English and our attempts at Spanish. They even brought us a New Year's Eve gift. We would recommend Nafre House to anyone visiting this beautiful area. ”
